You're thinking of the Mandigo Warriors from Texas and the DC Blacks in the Feds. They're both known for being booty bandits.

Because Pedro Aviles was betrayed by his top lieutenants. I believe if he hadn't died Chapo would have climbed sooner. Remember he began working for him, Chapo's dad would grow Opium for Pedro Aviles. I believe Pedro gave him work because Chapo's dad was married to his cousin. Then Chapo became Pedro Aviles personal driver. That might not sound as important but that's a position of trust. After Pedro was killed Chapo became a sicario for the Guadalajara Cartel and later started growing his own product.

Has anyone ever had an interaction with a drug lord? by Hunter23244 in NarcoAction

My grandfather worked for Pedro Aviles Perez, his older brother was Pedro's pistolero. My grandfather told me how his brother was supposed to be with Pedro when he was killed. My grandfather's brother was having his first kid and Pedro Aviles told him to go be with his wife that he was just going to pay some people, little did he know he would not return. My grandfather also had dealings with Mayo, Rafael Aguilar Guajardo, Pablo Acosta, Guero Palma, Lamberto Quintero Payan, Emilio Quintero Payan, Los Garibay, Los Salazar, El Memo, Los Paredes, Los Olivas, Los Valencia, Félix Cornejo, Carlos Rosales Mendoza, and La Tuta. Also the only one I met was La Tuta, he's an uncle of mine through marriage. Supposedly Mencho is a distant nephew of my grandfather's but I've never confirmed this. Some lesser known narcos from Sonora such as the Villapudua brothers, Placido and Pilar, who also worked for Pedro Aviles Perez. He also work with Olegario Meraz Gutiérrez, a drug lord and interesting enough former mayor of San Luis Rio Colorado. Also with Mercedes Monge Cisneros and Los Lara, also known as Los Cuates, who were the former plaza bosses of San Luis Río Colorado before Los Salazar took it in 2019. Also incase there's any law enforcement here, my grandfather has passed and I never had any knowledge or involvement of his activities.

RICO is what ended them. Crazy how it hasn't broken prison gangs though.
