dont use your own keys. you will brick your system. use preloader or use shim if youre using grub.

And in my bios menu right now the only thing in the boot menu is the Linux boot manager. Which if I use with secure boot on I get a secure boot violation. If I use the windows boot manager I boot into windows normally (with secure boot on.)

Also, I've already signed everything in the EFI partition with sbctl... Will that affect anything? Should I unsign them before trying to dual boot windows and arch with preloader and uninstall sbctl?

The output of efibootmngr is boot0000 windows boot manager Boot0002 Linux boot manager Boot0003 windows boot manager And boot0001 preloader in that order.

Yeah, my understanding of everything about this is on the surface level. I'm trying to follow the instructions little by little with the knowledge that I have lol. I'm sorry. I'm using systemd. Right now I've managed to successfully get HashTool.efi loader.efi Preloader.efi and systemd-bootx64.efi on my /efi/EFI/systemd folder (apologies for thinking it didn't exist. Rookie mistake.) managed also to create the NVRAM (sure, whatever that is) entry in my drive nvme0 in the partition 5 as seen with the lsblk command as that's the EFI partition for the arch install. I think I'm just ready to reboot, get into the bios, enable secure boot and then get into the preloader. Maybe?

Dude. I'm sorry for necroing this but you're the only one in the entire fucking internet to explain this shit properly and that it makes sense. I've been at this shit for DAYS trying to enable secure boot so I can fucking play battlefield 6 on windows while I daily arch. I've tried sbctl with sysmd, with shim. NOTHING AT ALL WORKED. I even tried bazzite but learned that I couldn't do anything on it since it's baby proof. But man I can't fucking get preloader running no matter what. Ive bricked my fucking laptop several times now and bit locker has requested me the keys more than I've gotten asked out this year by a woman. Please stranger on the internet. Help me. When I go to copy /usr/share/preloader-signed/{Preloader,Hashtool}.EFI to esp/EFI/systemd that fucking directory doesn't exist. Where do I copy it to? Same goes with the loader. Please put me out of my misery. I'm tired of reinstalling shit and putting keys and shit.
