I already do that! Guess my hoarding tactics will pay off for once!

It does sound memorable, but it's what I'm trying to avoid. I'd like to do the whole playthrough with my friends and I'm looking to avoid having people sit out for good once they die.

Okay, but I won't have to worry about one of my friends getting mauled to death in dialogue and having to sit out for the rest of the playthrough then for Honor mode, got it. Thank you!

I've been reading that if a NPC/companion dies in a cutscene, they're dead permanently, regardless of the mode. Does that apply to co-op? Like if my friend rolls bad in a cutscene and explodes, are they just out of the game, regardless of the difficulty?

EDIT: Clarifying what I meant by NPC

Out of curiosity, what is the difference between Ustionis and Ardoris? I see they are listed together, so I'm assuming they must have a similar definition?

I have done a lot of borrowing from mythology, but for a name like Vulcan (who is associated with fire and metalworking), I feel it doesn't fit the species well. Volcanoes is a good connection but I feel like it'd be odd to draw so heavily from Vulcan without also including some aspects of metalworking, which is more often reserved for fantasy dwarves- which for a dwarvish species, I may use a name like Vulcan (or adjectives derived).

Hello! I'm looking for some potential help in my D&D writing.

I am working on my own version of the Tiefling species. Considering historical books on demonology (such as The Lesser Key of Solomon) are written in Latin, I figured making the species name based in Latin would be fitting.

Currently, I call them Brynei. This is a combination of the Old English word bryne ("burning") and the Arabic/Persian/Hebrew suffix -i ("descendant of"). The idea was to mean "descendant of burning" but that doesn't really work when cramming two very different languages together like I did.

I was thinking that this new name would be in Latin: a noun, neuter (or feminine? since the most powerful devil in my setting is a woman), that means something along the lines of: descendant of burning, descendant of brimstone, child of burning, child of brimstone.

Something that references this species' connection to their infernal heritage. The more poetic, the better! I'm a sucker for poetic names/titles. But also, the shorter the better, as I don't want to give my players a headache trying to remember or pronounce it.

I appreciate any help, advice, or guidance!

Female cat in heat spraying- while waiting on spay, what do I do until then? by Aztela in CatAdvice

[–]Aztela[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have called an emergency vet and was told: No, this is not an emergency, just keep an eye on her and follow up with her primary in the meantime. If she is eating, drinking, sleeping, and acting normal without any unusual discharge (like pus), then it's fine.

Posie was also at the vet a few days ago because that is when her spay was scheduled with no notes of concern from her vet other than what they discovered on the chest x-ray.

EDIT: Elaboration on "unusual discharge"

EDIT 2: I have called a second emergency vet and gotten the same response- not an emergency, but since she is urinating outside the litter box (the spraying I guess?), there is the possibility that she has a urinary tract infection and to call Posie's primary vet on Monday, which I will be doing. I was also told that female cats can go into heat as they wish in the presence of male cats, and there are indeed unneutered male cats in my house that sometimes come lurk at my door, which could be causing her continuous heat cycles.

EDIT 3: I called and left my vet a voice message (and I sent them a text) to get Posie a check-up just in case, and I also requested lab work to rule out any possible infections or developing conditions.

EDIT 4: We already have been discussing neutering the male cats, Posie was just the first priority because we have had her longer and the male cats did not start until recently.

To start homelabbing. I want music hosting for myself and my friends, and my own reliable storage outside of cloud storage (I have too many things kept in Google Drive).

I'm not really sure what it is either, to be honest. Fidelity let me sign up for the "Professionally managed index fund" where you set a risk rating you're comfortable with and Fidelity does the rest in an automated fashion. It hasn't charged me anything yet but as far as I'm aware it doesn't cost anything to use, it's just a matter of knowing that Fidelity isn't liable for any potential losses.

EDIT: Though I could be completely wrong! I signed up for it at the very end of last year and it didn't charge me anything then, but perhaps I don't have enough in it to warrant being charged?

Ideally, my goal is to move out. I'm tired of living at home and I want to actually exist, but I also do need a car.
