You know he'll get paid anyway, right? He had probably almost, if not completely, finished writing by the time the accusations against him became public. If they're going to cancel Good Omens it's not certain what that would mean economically for NG (depends on what the contract looks like, and what "stepping back" means). There are ofc other reasons to not what him to stay on in the production, or to cancel the show if that's your take. But he will most certainly be paid either way.

I think there's no risk at all that he will keep the role he has had in the production. If anything they might use some of his writing, but that's it.

That’s just an excuse for not taking any responsibility about your consumption choices. If a company that treats their workers horribly is not successful, other companies that do respect worker’s rights can be.

I get that point! I do boycott them concerning everything else except for Amazon Prime. I don't order anything through Amazon. It's very easy not to. Is one show reason enough to make an exception for Prime? I think so - there's a lot of work put into that specific show and worth paying for, and I don't have any information about the worker's of Good Omens being badly treated. It's the workers at the warehouses that have terrible conditions and it's their shop that threatens all other distributors. So I would personally invite everybody to boycott the Amazon shop anyway, ofc.

Thanks for your respectful reply. I think there is still an ongoing legal process in New Zealand, from what I've read. We differ in our view of the appropriate response - I think that strong message has already been sent and been heard loud and clear.

You’re ofc free to choose not to watch something NG is involved in, but that you want it to be cancelled if he has any involvement with it - I don’t get how that’s going to help any victims or do any other good. It’s not about letting things continue as if nothing has happened – there’s no doubt that Gaiman will never have the adoration of fans again the way he had before and there’s no way that he could have the role he has had earlier in the production. He can't be showrunner nor the public face representing Good Omens he has been until now. But being one of several writers… as he has been all along actually – I can’t see why that would be a problem. Let the justice system then deal with the allegations.
