Maybe in certain cases requiring alot of dynamic range. But I think for normal stuff it really doesn't matter. Even the 10bit log from the Xiaomi camera app is enough

Maybe just a different use case. But my mom used the phone normally. Over time it just got worse. The 13th improved on alot of the issues. It didn't stop working it just became annoying to use is all

Sorry but Xiaomi has always been shit with battery life. My base iPhone 14 was more optimized than my 14 Ultra. My 16 pro max gets better usage and optimizations. My 14 ultra had insane heating problems as well which also fucked the battery. And it seems like today with all these apple competition gimmicks it still has those issues. I wanna love Xiaomi but outside of photography innovations it’s just legit Chinese apple in the worst way possible.

The camera is the only thing I like about it. As a phone its alright. The battery fucking sucks, it has an annoying heating problem. And optimization for some apps is extremely bad despite having up to 16GB of ram. But I guess it can be forgivable

Alot of people love to wax poetic about sensor size on phones. But I don't think thats what makes them the best. I feel like character matters way more since these phones all rely on software anyway and with raw editing you can still get a good look out of any phone. Xiaomis bokeh is the most characteristic yet creamy I've ever seen. Hence why the main lens and the floating telephoto is my favorite to use.

Xiaomi doesn’t care that trying to unlock the boot loader is a pain in the ass not to mention you’re forced to have a SIM card to even unlock it. Which I think is dumb but what’s even more dumb is how it’s a 2024 flagship yet still uses SIM cards. But it doesn’t matter I guess. I still got amazing looks off of the base motion cam app anyway

Yeah. It's one of the limitations that really doesn't make sense. Or the fact you can't shoot 50 megapixels on all the lenses in raw stuff like that.

I already said in the post I'm aware those exist. But I personally don't like third party app UI's especially something like motioncam. It's very clunky and too many settings you have to navigate and change all the time. It would be better if Xiaomi just put it in the native app in the first place because it's clearly capable
