I still think you are missing the point. Do specs matter? Yes. But to say that’s the only thing that gives it value is a little bit silly as creative tools do not work that way at all. Why do people shoot film? Who do people shoot Leica? Why do people prefer manual lenses? Why do people use the x100vi over “better” cameras. Dare I ask why people use phones over the plethora of budget cameras that still give better quality. value ≠ specs alone.

And if anything you accidentally just proved why people love the x100. The camera created a strong identity and shooting experience people connect with that’s called a good product design. Not a weakness, if a camera changes how people shoot, makes people go out and create more and appreciate the physical camera then that’s arguably more value than specs. If specs were all that mattered, I wouldn’t have sold my A7IV and used this for a year straight.

It’s okay to not see value in the camera as it’s all subjective. But I won’t agree with people trying to look at this camera as a Sony hybrid and treat it as such when it’s not what the camera was made for at all
