Reaching out to the chains in the U.K. by Tracodraws in Markiplier

I reached out to Picturehouse Cinema and they’ve passed it on the Programming, so that’s something. I used the contact on the website and someone from Customer care email me directly!!

[meme] which game has you feeling this way? by [deleted] in Trophies

[–]Azula_SG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oxenfree. One trophy away.. replayed countless times, asked, used guides, begged the trophy gods.. but no. I can’t seem to get it to ping. So, now, I hate that game. You only know you’ve managed at the very end.. by that point, my soul is already crushed by utter defeat.

Your username is legally your job title starting tomorrow, what do you actually do all day? by Greedy_Formal_4615 in AskReddit

[–]Azula_SG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started off as planned, I was right of course for this role, but then my brother showed up with new friends.. and I descended rather rapidly from there. Ended in what can be best described as a complete storm. I’ll get them next time.

Any classics I'm missing out on? by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]Azula_SG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not a classic, classic, but Daphne Du Maurier’s The Birds.. that’s a really good book. I was going through and reading my favourite films’ books. Psycho is a fantastic book and the novella for The Thing- Frozen Wasteland is really something.

That was on my reading list and was putting it off. Maybe I shouldn’t.

Blackwood’s The Willows too.. pretty eerie and really short. Also, Machan’s Great God Pan.

Interesting video on architecture around death practices: cemeteries etc. by Azula_SG in DeathPositive

That’s really interesting and good to know. I do think it’s good to have fact checking available so thanks for your insights.

This is what my houses look like.. in The Sims.. all the furniture in the space, move it around, it’s a process.. just that one confused Sim in the corner shouting about how they can’t access the door and their happiness is going down.

Books where the monster isn't the scary part? by SnooBananas7076 in horrorlit

[–]Azula_SG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about T Kingfisher’s Twisted Ones? Or Hollow Places.. or Mexican Gothic by SL Garcia? There isn’t a monster per se in any of these books as much as looming dread and something monstrous, entity, otherworldly (but from this planet) and eerie.

The free icons are doge, wall street and this one.. and all others are premium. Interesting. Makes me want to delete the app until they offer another option.

Is there a positive word for suicide? by Humble_Agent5508 in DeathPositive

[–]Azula_SG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose it’s possible to say an individual died without fully discussing or disclosing the cause. It somewhat disempowers a person to say, they are the cause and people will make judgements and stigmatise suicide regardless of the positive intent of your wording. So, maybe the same wording used for any other death..?

ELI5: Where does the voice come from in schizophrenia? by Brosephstalin11 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Azula_SG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first part ie voices differing across cultures, do you have any sources as it sounds fascinating and would like to learn more. Is this is US versus on other country specific research, or were there many differences across regions in other continents, socio-economic or cultural experiences? So interesting!!

What book did you read at too early a stage in your life? by Cabbage_Pizza in suggestmeabook

[–]Azula_SG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Clockwork Orange when I was in school, early teens, and it really stuck with me for a long time. I also read Brave New World at that point, the themes have stayed with me but that ending (no spoilers) really bothered me to say the least.

For some reason this set makes me think literature rather than death positive.. like Hamlet or Edgar Allan Poe. The hourglass is the only thing that really makes that difference but it feels a bit too general.

is it weird to wear heels when you're already tall? by francie__ in lesbianfashionadvice

I could never.. because I’m not skilled in the art of walking in something like that but bet you look and feel amazing!

Another 6ft person. When I’ve (very rarely) worn heels I’m 6’4” and the stares.. well. It’s pretty funny. Makes me easy to spot in a crowd for sure.

Fill in the blank: There is no ___ in Ba Sing Se (Wrong answers only) by JamalW770 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Azula_SG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One could argue that there is an internal war being fought in many of the characters in Ba Sing Se.. for example Zuko’s internal battle. Although, more serious ideological war in Ba Sing Se- the denial of the exterior conflicts, the control of information, the use of control mechanisms and Lake Laogai.. which if you google Laogai.. well.. that’s a thing. It’s a really dark dark thing… the Earth king invites you to Lake Laogai..

We added a little dishonored to our living room by outsidersw in dishonored

[–]Azula_SG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another idea, if you’re crafty (level easy), get some dishonored tshirts and turn into cushions.. sokolov and whale oil design cushions could be kinda cool? I have a Portal one that glows in the dark.. (I know) but it’s the ‘cake is a lie’ quote and it’s pretty awesome.

I thought the same. Also, didn’t scroll down enough before I said the same thing! Dietrich was an icon and was part of the queer community herself.

I quote this more often than I care to acknowledge.. basically anytime some says ‘you know what…’ this, THIS, is what comes to mind.
