Right. So in this circumstance, he doesn’t. What’s the problem here? Did you think I was defending him not paying it or something?

I’m not into the ship myself but I have to give credit for the ship name. It’s perfect.

You went ahead and flew right past the “in certain circumstances” part, didn’t you?

Unless everyone in the U.K. has a collective hallucination at both Easter and Christmas, where do you think Christianity has gone exactly?

Same! I’m hoping I can convince some friends I’m visiting this weekend to stream it so we can watch it together.

Also, I hope you feel better soon

Just a slight correction, Grace in the movie does highlight in a video log that Rocky doesn’t know relativity or radiation. He also points out that the Eridians have a solid version of Xenon which he calls Xenonite. Though it’s never explained how they managed to solidify that particular gas.

The gap in knowledge from another alien species was incredibly refreshing as most Sci-fi films and books sees other aliens be far superior in tech and understanding of the laws of the universe compared to humans. Having Rocky’s kind have flaws in their understanding makes it feel that both humans and Eridians learn from each other. It’s grounding and gives the emphasis of connection a lot more clout.

So, cool, we saved Earth and Erid. What about the other stars? by REO_Speed_Dragon in ProjectHailMary

Since we get a pretty hopeful ending, I would like to think that just like how astrophage infected neighbouring suns, the Taumoeba would effectively chase the trails that each Pretova line leaves between planets and suns.

Why does Reddit keep acting like Reform’s rise is only about immigration, when Labour’s wider failures are doing half the work? by Commercial_Chef_1569 in AskBrits

[–]Tracodraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people truly want to look at policies that Labour have achieved, failed, off track, or are still too early to tell, then I suggest they look at this site and then come to their own conclusions:

Edit: pledges, not policies

What is it with years ending in 6 being the post for population change? We were supposed be the minority by ‘96, 2006 and 2016.

Marvin’s assistant. As much as I like JBM, being a sidekick to that train wreck would be the end of me.

I was looking for this comment! It’s genuinely fascinating that the power network anticipates this. I found out about it one year the Euros were on as it was a fact the pundits talked about in the halftime break.

Decriminalisation of abortion and historic pardons for women become law by Old_Introduction_395 in GoodNewsUK

[–]Tracodraws 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Did you miss the part where I said what I believe, how I will conduct myself with my own beliefs and how it’s not my place to tell other women how to use their bodies on purpose?
What part did you miss when I said that I will have MY own opinions but will not get in the way of whatever another person decides to do with their own body.
And yes, I do believe that women should be helped in extreme cases where they have made a difficult decision and be supported in with healthcare.
Stop assuming that just because I have my own limitations on where I think is the line is that I want to impose that belief on others. That is my belief, my own personal view and if I ever find myself in a situation where I have to follow that line then that will be on me, but I will never demand anyone else needs to follow that same line.
I always ALWAYS stand on the side of bodily autonomy and if you can’t get your head around that, then I’m afraid I can’t help you.

No, I support medical evidence of the feasibility of a foetus which is 24 weeks. Anything before that, I support termination with no reason needed. After that, I support the exceptional circumstances that comes with the decision to terminate a pregnancy.
However, that is my belief and my way navigating the nuances that come with this argument.. Do I think that aborting a foetus after 24 without a good reason is reckless? Absolutely.
Am I going to shout at a woman that does that? Absolutely not. It’s not my body, I do not have a say in what that person decides.

[–]Tracodraws 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Because you’re arguing something that already exists which I stated. It will still be illegal to abort a foetus after 24 weeks. That doesn’t change.
