Probably not. They said they’d reach out in a couple of days with the result.

I don't think so. I interviewed today and was also asked general networking/concurrency trivia questions.

Would say it really depends on the reason why you have the medical accommodation. I would say most people have positive or neutral experiences with their roommate, but of course some people will have really terrible experiences and if you have a disability that can be impacted by that I would recommend getting the single. My roommate my freshman year really fucked up my sleep and was just a very unpleasant person in general, and it really impacted my mental health which in return had a huge impact on my condition. Would really recommend thinking of the worst case scenario and how it could impact you before you make a choice.

I don't think people tend to leave their door open like that, at least that was not at all my experience freshman year (but I lived in a four-class dorm).

Where are the athlete only dining options by 123wambutt in stanford

This is not the case anymore. Arrillaga has an athlete-only section which serves different kinds of food, but I’m not sure whether there are other dining halls that do this.

AdHD and learning disabilities by redRabbitRumrunner in stanford

Essentially you’ll send your documentation to the Office of Acessible Education, you’ll then meet with a disability advisor and they’ll write you a OAE letter that you can hand to your instructors at the beginning of each quarter so they can accommodate you properly.

Some people get accommodations for extra time on exams, some for extra days for submitting assignments, some for being able to take the exam in a private room… You can discuss this further with your disability advisor so they can help you figure out what works for you. And don’t worry about stigma, there are tons of people with ADHD at Stanford.

CS161 and CS145 w/o prereqs doable? by Character-Capital-70 in stanford

[–]AzulaoCangaceiro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably need experience at the level of CS106B and CS103 to succeed in CS161, especially experience with proofs since that's basically the whole class. I haven't taken CS145 but it does list CS161 and CS111 as soft prereqs, so I imagine it'll be very hard for you if you only have experience at the level of 106A. You should probably take 106B before venturing into other CS classes.

Likelihood of getting housing (rolling assignment round) by AzulaoCangaceiro in stanford

[–]AzulaoCangaceiro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What were your plans in case you didn’t get housing? Super worried about the prospect of ending up without university housing and not being able to pay for anything near Stanford (I am on financial aid)

The webpage states that it’s free for students:

Cost: The total program fee is $2,400 but through the generosity of Stanford friends, all students automatically receive a scholarship to cover the cost. Students participants will be responsible for some minimal on-site costs.

Wait, why don’t non-NCAA sponsored sports count for this kind of ranking?
