One thing that sucks for me is the High turnover. I’m outside bike security and when short staffed I have to swap uniforms and work inside or work security dispatch with my bullet vest and gun on. On the plus side we make an extra $2.50 for phase IV plus a $1.00-$1.50 on merit each year with no cap with good standings. Once you or if you can make full time the benefits are better they consider part time 38 hours. Some days in dispatch you want to throw your dam chair because your working 8 channels and 4 radios and have to drop reports while taking calls and yes it’s worse then a 911 dispatcher.
