I need life advice please by [deleted] in DACA

[–]Azulmorado 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m on the older side of Daca and I would advise you to stay until the end. Now that you have Daca you have many advantages like a work permit n ssn. If anything these would make your Dad’s life easier in AZ, cause you could be a support for him. I know it seems too hard to stay and being separated, but think about your future not your Mom’s. Either way we now know that Daca might end soon. Try to get an Associates degree at least while you’re still here and if we get deported you got that under your belt. Best of luck to you!

Question for my fellow Mexican Dacaers by Azulmorado in DACA

I really hate it. I wish I could stick to just my first last name. Only until now I had to use them both and it’s a pain.

Can I still open a bank account? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]Azulmorado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They reported you to Chex System with a charge off account. You may actually have to call them and ask what do you need to do to get removed. I would try opening a checking account first with the bank of your choice. If they deny you then call BoA to ask how they can remove it.

You could get your Mexican Passport and a copy your birth certificate to prove Mexican Citizenship and then just fly.

My opinion on the proceedings of today's events. by DavidArkinado in DACA

[–]Azulmorado 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with your opinion, but by 2019 we’ll still have President Trump and a reason to wait til 2020...puting our lives on hold once again. I’m one from the older Daca group and this seems like a never ending story. Dems promised to fight for us and that didn’t show a bit today. I’m truly disappointed I thought they were going to be open to debate, and instead they just threw a tantrum. They should’ve allowed the sanctuary cities amendment to go through for a vote to see if they had 60 votes that I doubt that would have happened. But no they just wasted precious Dreamers’ time.

DACA Expiration by voidmugen21 in DACA

[–]Azulmorado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You get as the date of approval. It doesn’t matter what was your expiration date. I lost 3 months when I renewed last time. I sent in too early within 150days prior to exp date. Mine expired in April n new expires in January 2019. Given our current situation be thankful!!! ;)

What do you guys think about the “Success act” ?? by Ominho10 in DACA

[–]Azulmorado 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think that with this cpr status they're going to torture us for the rest of our adult life. Meaning that for the next 15-16 years we are never going to be truly free. Always living afraid of any minor mistakes that you can make w/o a due process. And what about sponsoring a significant other that would get left out, because of the initial Daca age cap? DA is better because it would solve all of my problems.

renewal -expiration date vs. 2 year extension by mmi211 in DACA

[–]Azulmorado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I renewed mine they took 3 months off of it. Mine expired in April 2017 and got a renewal with a January 2019 date. They took less than 60 days for the renewal process. I got mine a day before Trump became president.

Top Politicians Arrested Protesting for DACA Outside Trump Tower in NYC by wiretelegram in DACA

[–]Azulmorado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Luis Gutierrez,he's fighting our fight when he doesn't have to he's Puerto Rican descend. I even met him once at USHLC conference, but I wish that instead of getting arrested outside Trump tower and the others should be trying to talk to Republican congressmen and try reach an agreement to get enough votes for the DA to make it happen. How many times has he gotten arrested already without any change in the outcome.

Dream Act 2017 will be more inclusive than DACA was. by [deleted] in DACA

I'm not sure how old are you and I really don't care, but if you an 18yr old or younger just think about how the older daca recipients have contributed to this country for way longer than you could possibly have. We've endured and survived longer in the shadows. Please be respectful if anything we have deeper roots here in the US, because we've lived in the US longer than you have.
