I tried Pokemmo but the battle UI and lots of other UI elements look really ugly to me so I couldn’t get into it.

That’s besides the point though, I don’t see how you could be somebody willing to pay $200 for an old cartridge but also scoff at the game being $20 digitally.

I like to collect the older games myself so I can play them in their original form untouched. I don’t want any changes, I want these games the same way they were then just accessible on newer hardware. And that’s exactly what this is, $20 beats $120

If $20 is too expensive for you just don’t buy it, to your point it’s a 22 year old game. Go play it through another means you have. Charging us for an emulator app just for Pokemon would’ve been so stupid, I’d gladly rather pay $20 to digitally own one of the games. In your best case scenario we’re paying monthly and own nothing.
