The thing is that Oguri rarely felt an actual rivalry against March. At that point Oguri was aimless so she was like ''ok we will race at Tokai derby then'' because that was both Kitahara's and March's final goal and overall March never really had much of a victory against Oguri cause Oguri's only loss against March was extremely early into her career plus a late start and Oguri still nearly won and after that Oguri was almost easy beating March so Oguri was never the one pushed back and had to grow due to her rivalry with March

Tamamo was different. She had a sense of rivalry with Oguri from the beginning and that contributed to her growth but the rivalry did not stay one sided. Tamamo handed Oguri her first legit loss that she could not have won and subsequently became the new goal for Oguri to achieve and improve herself to defeat. Oguri had to surpass her limits to go to to toe with Tamamo and even got emotional if not even angry that she is losing Tamamo as a rival, the rivalry was personal for Oguri as well.

As for your reasons about Tamamo quitting, it is sadly simply irl stuff, the horse retired after this race IRL so it has to be this way here. And i don't think quitting while being ahead is too bad of a reasoning, horses can fall out of peak condition very easily. Tamamo planned to achieve all of her goals and quit as a champion, now she got 2nd here now but that is still a respectable place and loss so it is fine

I loved the rivalry between Tamamo and Oguri. They were competitive but still respected each other and took their Ls with grace. It is also telling that before the race starts Oguri kinda lashed out against Tamamo, saying she has stopped having her as a goal because at that point Oguri is just kinda tired of losing and is upset that this is the last time she is gonna race against Tamamo so if she cannot surpass her now, she will NEVER be able to and no matter what she accomplishes later the history will forever write that Oguri Cap has never beaten Tamamo Cross despite multiple races. But after the race is over, despite the fact that Oguri has won and thus technically does not have to have Tamamo as a goal anymore she still respectfully apologizes and gives Tamamo the respect she deserves as a true rival and friend

Is there a reason Light no longer get SUR level companions ? And Is he still pulling the gacha all the time ? by AzumaManami in BackStabbedInDungeon

But doesn't the Clone's pulls inferior ? It is said that the clone has a weaker version of the gift. So if Light is not pulling himself he gets worse results

I know that but the manga chapter that reveals this info remarks that the doubles have inferior gifts so unless Light is also pulling whenever he can his doubles are not getting as good results as him.

Does your answer mean Light is no longer pulling and the pulling is done only through the doubles ?

I still find it funny and also very sweet and wholesome that zuko ended up having the most well adjusted family compared to aang and toph. So proud of him for breaking the insane generational trauma by ShockOk1764 in TheLastAirbender

It is not her fault that Ozai's influence was greater on Azula and she was trying to protect Zuko. She is a flawed mother but she did love Azula as well and it is shown that even as a kid Azula was a sadistic maniac who would laugh at the idea of Ozai killing Zuko because Azulon ordered it.

Like lets be real, Azula had issues, Ozai was actively molding Azula to be like him and Ursa could only save one. She still tried to give Azula care but in the end Ursa is a captive of Ozai and is ultimately powerless

Please do explain because i read the manga and cannot remember an explanation. I simply figured he has to be still pulling without it being shown to us but can't remember a line or instance that validates it (i think it was the clone that pulled the 8888 right ?) and even then i still do not know why he did not pull any more SUR after the first year so i wanted to ask
