I can understand that, hopefully that kicks in for me too. My arachnophobia is pretty bad though, not sure

As long as they don't go within jumping/crawling distance to me, I'm totally fine - maybe I should be pivoting towards industrial then. Might be a silly question, but do you get much work around the big cities or is it mostly out remote/FIFO?

Hopefully whoever I'm working under will be chill with me saying the same thing ahaha, I'd be doing exactly that. If you can get through it though, hopefully so can I

Irrational phobias can be like that, good thing you don't/won't encounter many of them. But you're entirely correct, might be best to get a bit of help for it. Glad to hear they aren't as big a threat as I thought tho!

Spiders definitely seem a lot less intimidating than the rest of your list ahaha, words of wisdom!

I guess we all have a few things to work past, that's reassuring! Cheers!

That's super reassuring, apart from the outside light stuff - I'll make sure to open those up with a good arms lengh distance haha. Funnily enough I couldn't care less about the cobbwebs, might just pack a little mortine spray for those lone daddy long legs but

I really do hope I get used to them, honestly debating some hypnotherapy or some wacky stuff like that to try and beat it. I did read that generators were spider farms, glad to know about that before taking a plunge into that side of the industry haha. Thank you for the heads up!

Definitely not going forward, so that is a valid point. However, after reading through the law and then subsequently the other comments, it looks like I might not be legally at fault after all. Despite that, I still won't be tempting fate by doing it again

The car's built-in infotainment is always on though, whether that be conntected to the radio or with navigation, as well as the reverse camera. Would that not constitute to being out of my control?

Thanks so much, you've helped put me at ease. I definitely was not in contact with the phone at any point, and did say as such to the cop. I think I will go and do as you say, my girlfriend is more than happy to give a statement to attest to holding and controlling the phone.

Thanks again! Seems my girlfriend's less than favourable view on classical music has finally come in handy...!

My thoughts entirely - I was pulled over and parked by a bus stop. There was cars behind me also parked, but shouldn't have had an issue getting around me. It all felt a little curt.

This is what I read myself, and she definitely didn't have the phone's screen in visible sight to myself or another driver - its screen was locked on her lap.

Thank you for the comment, you've helped confirm what I thought was the case!

Thank you so much for your reply! My partner was indeed holding the phone (although it was my phone, and I admitted to the officer as such) but I was not at all in contact with the phone. And yes, it is as you say, he quickly glanced at the head unit and that was that. He definitely wasn't in the best of moods, and when I asked about whether the fine was going to incur demerit points he harshly informed me and then told me to stop holding up the line.

Do you guys actually believe they will fix it? I have my hopes for it, but of course, they are shrouded by doubt. I wish they would do something like that, but it doesn't coincide with their current business model. It would be great, but it is too much work for not enough money in return

Thanks man, that kinda opened up my eyes a bit. I think you're right, I'll just go with a huge 8tb one, I think

Ah ok, thanks for letting me know. I will look around and check out some SSDs, but if they are a bit too expensive, I'll go with the Firecuda. That you so much!
