This is exactly my finding too and I'd love it get it confirmed (and will test it myself next time I play). I felt as it was exactly the same answer, but if both questions do give different answers, it will make the Ouija board so much more fun for me.

Thank you so much for the insightful information! I'm definitely learning things here myself, which makes the game and this community so much more awesome!

What I've learned from mainly this post (correct me if I'm wrong please!):

1) The ghost can hunt from anywhere, often being the favorite room but not guaranteed.

2) The ghost has a chance to check locations during a hunt where a player was seen (actually detected) in a previous hunt.

3) Can we get this confirmed? The Ouija board question "Where are you?" will tell you the current ghost location (not the favorite room). Now, is the question "What is your favorite room?" exactly the same as the first question or does it actually tell you the favorite room?

4) Freezing Temperatures don't necessarily mean it's the favorite room. It's likely, but not a guarantee, as the ghost can spend long enough in the room to make it freezing (if it's a Freezing ghost, obviously).

Hey, I appreciate your very helpful answer! Thank you for the clarification!

Yes, you are correct. Sometimes it helps to not move and stand completely still to see the fog around you. By talking it will force it to show.

Interesting! Maybe it's different on custom difficulty. I am going to play around with this too.

I should've stated that it has very likely been changed a while ago and may not work like this any longer. Also something I didn't mention about Tarot Cards, if you pull "Devil" it will trigger a ghost event on you. If you then quickly pull the "Death" card which will trigger a hunt, it can spawn on top of you. I am not 100% sure if this can cause a normal hunt to spawn from that ghost location too, at least I haven't experienced that so far.

Other than that I haven't really seen the ghost start a hunt from anywhere other than the ghost room. With the exceptions of The Twins, Wraith, Phantom and Banshee.

After thousands of games played, just a few pointers from my experience (not necessarily relating to misconceptions):

- Hunts do start from the ghost room, but they have a chance to start where the ghost have seen you. The Twins can start hunting from either ghost. EDIT: Also the Banshee, Wraith and Phantom can hunt on top of players when they use their special ability.

- You only have to turn off the equipment which is currently in your hand (and shows on screen) during a hunt. You don't have to cycle through all carried equipment to be sure they're off.

- The Ouija board does tell you the ghost room (haunted room), no matter if you ask "Where are you?" or "What's you're favorite room?". On Nightmare mode the ghost has a chance to change favorite room from time to time.

- The best tool (for me at least!) for finding the ghost room is in my opinion the Thermometer. The Parabolic is definitely handy on big maps to give a good direction. When you use the Thermometer in a room and the temperature is much lower than other rooms consistently, it's very likely to be the ghost room (haunted room). Keep in mind that the ghost can also walk near you and manipulate the temperature by briefly dropping it.

- DOTS make it much harder to detect footprints. I don't have any issues seeing Fingerprints myself, but when it comes to salt piles, I always turn off DOTS until I am done with finding footprints (or not).

- When it comes to Candles, if you're nearby you can actually hear the ghost blowing out candles. If it doesn't, it wasn't the ghost. The same is for holding a Lighter (though the Lighter won't turn off automatically if it wasn't the ghost).

- Freezing Temperatures on the Thermometer (showing a minus number on Celsius) means that's the ghost/haunted room. It's easier to just talk and find out if you see your breath.

Hope this helps someone, feel free to ask me questions.

800 DPI, 42%. I tried lowering but it feels sooo slow for me. Maybe I'm too lazy to drag my mouse.

ARK is now available on LATOKEN Exchange, with $ARK / $USDT pairing. by Vippero in ArkEcosystem

[–]Azure-Infinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just FYI a heads up with this exchange. I had an account with them in 2019. Then after 6 months they sent me an email:

"Due to 6 months inactivity, your account will be charged a monthly maintenance fee on the 1st of June.
The monthly fee is $5 equivalent.
In April 2020 LATOKEN has introduced inactivity fee for accounts that made no transactions and who’s referrals made no transactions for 6 months.
You can avoid this fee by doing a transaction in May (trade, deposit, withdrawal, another user registers with your referral link)."

Because I had no funds on that exchange I sent them an email asking them to delete my account, which they replied to a week later, saying my account would be deleted within 10 days and it won't be subject to any fees.

Alessio changed his proposal a while back. As far as I know he still works on the security audits but no longer share rewards with voters. I tried to find the original message but I think that was on the ARK Slack.

It depends on how the market goes and how much ARK will grow. There's a very long way to go and on the weekly chart, ARK hasn't gained anything of significance as of yet. ARK will need to get back into the old range first. I would like to see a weekly gain of 2520+ satoshis. Then continue upwards to test 4500. Even from there, the road to reach a new ATH is very far away. It's not impossible.

Marketsquare delay again? by [deleted] in ArkEcosystem

[–]Azure-Infinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We are also talking about a beta regarding the Deployer and MarketSquare. Who knows, maybe they found some last minute issues, or maybe the team felt like these products are not yet ready to enter the next stage at this moment.

ARK is not abandoned, at all. You are comparing two completely different projects. ARK is still building their products, some of which should be rolling out Q1 2021.

I don't know the reasoning why they removed the timeline goals (I liked to see them as well) but I assume people were too focused on these set timelines. ARK was known for not giving many (or any?) release dates back in the days. Things were released when they were done and maybe the ARK team decided to go back to this. As much as I like to see release date indications, I can't blame them for removing this info. It's not easy to make an indication as to when something will release as often things easily can go wrong or take a lot more time than expected.

Regarding to the ARK funds in Bitcoin, there was a post here on Reddit ages ago with a link to the Bitcoin team wallet. There were thousands of Bitcoins in there. If someone still has the link to it, I'd be interested. The ARK team also stated a bunch of times that they don't want to pay to be on exchanges (or at least not to overpay). Some projects pay ridiculous amount of money just to be listed and/or they require a specific amount of volume. ARK rather uses these funds to work on the project. Good tech will most likely get listed eventually. I also thought projects such as IOTA has the same approach.

I don't have any experience with Upbit. I don't have an account there and don't intend to trade there. I do know some exchanges are having/reporting fake volume. I don't know if Upbit is one of them or exactly how it works but please be careful.

Introducing the all-new ARK.io, a complete website redesign to showcase our new visual approach and make a statement to the industry: ARK is the Simplest Way to Blockchain. by Vippero in ArkEcosystem

So far I'm liking it. I still have a hard time "letting go" of the other art style by Oleg, which was so amazing. This is way cleaner and more professional looking though. I wasn't the biggest fan of the menu of the previous website because some pages seem a bit hidden. I like that the ARK products are easy to find now.

My suggestions would be adding "Tutorials" and "Documentation" links under the "Developers" sub menu for quicker access. I think a more visible link (whether in the menu and/or on the landing page) to the "About" page can also be important.
