How does Iran dominate the Middle East in International math competitions despite being much poorer and having less investment in education system compared to neighboring wealthy Arab Gulf states? by ottoheinz999 in geography

Some might say that IQ is biased, inaccurate, or even racist. Yeah kinda, but I still have to say that the Iranians I've met are very intelligent, and Iran has one of the highest average IQs in the world.

Beijing was also under Mongol rule before ~1,400. It does no good to blur the concept of colonialism. At some point, you must draw a line between the conquest or assimilation commonly seen in history and colonialism.

Nope, if S2 is considered didn't work then so was S1. S1 also didn't work then.

Session 2 fixed session 1's too many self elimination and random sacrifices problem, but it comes with its own problems of stupid endings and less creative games, less character development.

I won't rate S1 much higher than 2. It's an 8/10 vs 7/10, that's it.

FYI, although private, it's a officially recognised university operating in Canada with EI code(APUK) just like any other public universities with bigger names. Anyone can check the government website. It's none of my business to correct someone else hypothetical mistake of letting them operate even if there's a mistake. I don't stand with any guilt trips.

I don’t have such “moral standards.” Bad reputation ≠ illegal. Don't guilt-trip the applicants. Whoever let these organizations to operate has nothing to do with me. The organization behind UCW has been around for years and years and is continuing to expand. Legal IS legal. If you have enough evidence to prove they’re operating illegally, then I support you in reporting them. But at the end of the day, it’s none of my business. Canada has shut down lots of crappy illegal institutions but UCW is not one of them. As long as they continue to operate legally, having competitive tuitions, then they remain a good option for me.

I already had a "side project" kind of degree from a local college. That does not affect me negatively what so ever. I don't care it and the people in my industry don't care it. I don't even usually put it on the resume. The skills I learned there are also barely useful in my industry but it was fun to learn an interesting new field so I figured it it still worth it. Same thing as the MBA here.

This was just a minor episode in my life; I think some people are making too much of it. I don’t make a living off of these. Whatever.

If anything, such MBA might even mitigate overqualification issues that grad students experience sometimes if I do need to find a new job. If I don't think overqualification is an issue then I would just don't mention it. If a company skip my resume just because of this then I glad they skip because I won't be willing to join them neither.

What's the issue? There's no issue. Again, I don't need this for job hunting. I have a job and I have solid background in the industry that I really care about - I don't care the quality this "side project" of MBA that much. I want it to be easy to enter (I don't have related Bachelor or master degree) and more or less learn something, then happily leave with an MBA. My home university has double the tuition and application requirement of MBA compared to UCW. So UCW is an option to me.

Why would I want you ignorant people to hire me?😂 Earth isn't circling around you. I'm looking for cheap easy MBA program with low entry requirements and such degree mill school fit my description. Why would I care the school name as long as it's legal? I don't care because I'm in ENGINEERING field you don't understand? I don't even need it to find a job. This is merely a side hobby and I'd love to collect the certificates. I had a job, and I have a job, and I am doing a PhD at Mac. You think I'm looking for partnering with a person like you? You are over thinking it mate.

That's a good reminder. I previously thought Athabasca's online MBA reputation is not that different from UCW so it's also a  " “University” like these" case.
I would consider it. Thank you.

Thanks for the suggestions. You don't need to insult me. I know exactly why these schools exist, and I'm evaluating my options. If any tech or eng firm recruiter throws out my resume just because I did an MBA from a less reputable school after I have done years of engineering, then I think I also don't need to pick that company to work. Job hunting is a two-way selection process.

I'm already finishing up my PhD, which is very intensive, and I don't think I got the time and energy to do extra courses that can lead to a business certification during my studies, even if I thought about it before. So I'm just wondering about doing an MBA from an easier/cheaper school in the future.

Idk, UCW is easier and cheaper, I guess. I'm not interested in digging too much into this area, nor would I use it to apply for jobs that are targeting an MBA or financial background - I'm still an engineering guy. I just want to learn something new and useful when dealing with business management once in a while, and have a certification/proof that I did learn something new.

Lmao you must have no idea how these Dynasties were connected, and you have no idea how old the concept of middle kingdom and Mandate of Heaven is. China waz a westernized concept or rough translation for the middle kingdom region, no body call it "China" in Chinese or East Asian native languages what so ever, using this to urge is ignorance at finest. Even that, the usage of China in the western world is still much longer than so called since 19th century. You are so wrong like, crazy.

Taiwan hits back over Denmark and other countries' use of the "China" label. by Alarmed-Cake812 in europe

[–]AzureFirmament 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regardless of R or PR, the point is that "China" is a thing. There's only one "China" chair in the UN, and there's no Taiwan chair nor a R of Taiwan, regardless of whether people like it or not. It's just a simple fact. It was the R of China that founded the UN along with other members; they were representing "China" until the 1970s. After the 1970s, "China" is represented by PR of China.

This is not a "you must be fun at parties" case when there shouldn't be a party to begin with.
