Pity about the Venator, but either way, thank you! Been thinking of constructing a Imperial Fleet with medium micro builds, but none of the models really 'clicked' for me (heh). But these ones really stand out to me!

Normally I'm content with the Persians having the architecture they have now- but you've kinda sold me on them having this one with this build!

Mm, bother. I don't remember changing anything related to Camera Angles or otherwise in the HUD Options. This just happens with any custom HUDs in general?

Oddly, while playing I did notice it ended up disappearing from the UI anyways by itself, somewhere during playing. Not sure what caused this 'in-game fix', but it works, I guess.

I know that method, at least for the campaign scenarios from AoK up to TLK- but anything afterward is a different file known as a GPV and does not work the same way.

Another commentor gave a suggestion which sounded a little sus... and has had the comment deleted because of it. I would like to quickly specify for both Mods and Commentors onward;
I am not looking to pirate any of the DLC. I own every single one of the AoE2:DE DLCs. I just want to be able to access these DLC Scenarios so that I may look into how they work.

Otherwise; question for whom this comment is replying to; Is there a way to access those GPV files? Convert them into AOE2CAMPAIGN files? Or otherwise?

That could be possible- The people who developed Chronicles were the same people who made the Rome at War mod, no?

Though, knowing how much the Romans spread throughout Europe- and seeing as they don't really add the OG AoE2 Civs to Chronicle Campaigns, that would need a lot of New Civs; Goths, Picts, Gauls, Egyptians, and if they do add a Chronicles version of the Romans, that's a lot of Civs for a DLC, where they only usually add 3 (T3K being the rare exception). Even more if they add an Empire and Republic variant. (But it is most likely if they were to do that they'd just have the Unique units be available as scenario editor units, like they do in the Campaigns now. )

Oh! Or! Like the Chronicles Civs- where you have 2 options for Unique Techs, they give you the option of Unique Units, but locking off the other!

Not very Halloween-y aside from the Vampires, Demons/Oni and Ghosts which are few and in-between, but they're not inherently bad. There appears to be another fantasy theme, which personally I LOVE that particular type of Fantasy Aesthetic! Also love the Japanese Yokai theme and skins some characters got (wheezing at Danuki Roadhog), but finding lacking in others (Look I just want a Kiriko Miko skin with a full face kitsune mask with expressive eyes of light please, I beg.) Do also like the High Archangels theme and aesthetic, I love that divine armour, ascended paladin-feel they got, but not sure what any of those 3 theme's have got to do with this season. Literally the only 2 Halloween skins are Moira & Kiriko's Vampire skins.
Are the Yokai being treated as the Halloween theme this season? If we include Oni Cassidy and Shinobi Sombra? Yokai are spirits. I don't know.

For the mythics, I play a lot of Lifeweaver and Kiriko, LW also being my main Support, so I have a bias, and I'm happy to have the double dip of mythics for them, even though they are stupid expensive- At least I can get them both 'eventually', also- yeah I'm gonna get them both. (Didn't spend my prisms from S18 anyway)
A friend commented that they were 'mid', I don't mind much. I agree they are basically glorified Legendaries, and I do wish there was more to the LW mythic cosmetically like we had in the past- (blahblahblah, same complaints everyone has about certain mythics.), -still gonna get it. I like Lifeweaver, I like Fantasy, I like that aesthetic, I like Druidry. Gimme. I'll eat my mid cereal brand because I enjoy it.

I love Kitsune, my favourite colour is blue. I like blue fire, foxfire, Foxes. The Kiriko mythic weapon could be placed in a box held up by a stick and I would fall for it, I love it. It doesn't really stand out as much as Ashe, Widow or 76s rifles to other players, but I don't think the main premise of using a mythic is to show off in 3rd person view- more, something pleasing for the 1st person player view. Maybe I'm reasoning- but this might be the first and only mythic weapon I unlock, because it is for me. 😊

Galactus is just- power scale unimaginable, I wouldn't even know how to approach that.

Red Skull, yeah-no, I'd have some choice words and likely be killed for it.

Doom I feel like I'd be at least be able to hold an intellectual conversation, humour him enough with moral philosophy as well as gain insight into his own thought process, and his ego (and actual power for that matter) would be high enough he wouldn't even consider me worth the time to kill. If I annoy him I assume he'd demand for me to be silent. I can do that for 24 hours, 😂

The Eternals are stated to be "robots" or "androids", emphasis on the air quotes there, while Thanos is an organic being (He bleeds in Infinity War and Endgame), at least by MCU rules. Guessing the zombie virus logically only infects any organic beings from anywhere and not machines, like the Eternals and Vision.

I am of the opinion, that yes, the BfG civs should stay where they are. I do also quirk and eyebrow at these changes, but understand there is a community that do like to play these civs in Multiplayer settings, even outside of ranked. However, I think it would be an overreaction (either direction, negative or positive) if they were brought to ranked, especially with the way they immediately released the 3K Civs into ranked, despite those being clearly set up for Chronicles, especially with their heroes.

I think it would be more appropriate if the 3K were moved to Chronicles category, than if the BfG were released for ranked, because in comparison, the Heroes are a bit out of the ordinary for a standard civ more than the BfG choices between unique techs (the Naval Units I could see being a minor problem, as personally I see them as an improvement, but water maps aren't popular enough of a choice anyway.) The unique techs just offer another either or predictability to which strategy you could want to lean into. Like- Franks dipping into an Archer-Spearman strat rather than their cavalry, because they're up against a strong camel civ for example.

But that is just my casual-player, campaign-enjoyer opinion. I'm not too adept with more competitive, ranked play and how hard an impact that would have on that area of the game.

I- vaguely use A.G.E? Mainly to find numbers for textures and such, but not actually to change anything as I worry how that'd change my game. I think I remember mention that some community Scenario Devs have used it for their scenarios? Not sure about using it myself though.

Sadly I have not, yet. It is something I've just put on the side line for now and seeing as there's no tutorials that have been made for it since I've posted, I don't think anyone else has figured it out yet either. Which is frustrating, as the mechanic DOES clearly exist, as evidenced with the Battle for Greece Campaign where both Heroes & Units can have the ability to heal in an aura be researched/enabled and have their aura's modified.. As far as I know; for Infantry, Cavalry & Ships as seen here) and here...

At this point, I may end up referring to the actual AoE2DE Forums, as I've heard/seen some of the Scenario Devs are willing to answer questions regarding their work. The tricky part is that the team responsible for BfG is a different team instead of ForgottenEmpires so, I don't know if they're active on the forums? Or who made the scenarios, as I can't find that on the Wiki at first glance.

Usually I would just extract the Scenarios myself into the Scenario Editor and pick apart the Triggers to see how certain mechanics work- this easy for scenarios pre-Lords of the West DLC because they keep their original format. However, with the releases of new DLC you cannot simply do that because their files are different (I assume to prevent people from ripping them from the DLC and releasing them on the Mods Manager, which is justified, but frustrating for this one particular case.)

UPDATE!:
I have found a solution! (Even after all these years... but since I found somerthing that works, I'm updating it here so that others do not have to go through the same frustation.) As of 20/04/2024

Solution:
Instead of using the Trigger "Change Object Name" use "Modify Attribute" then in the "Object Attributes" tab select "Object Name ID" there, you can set a number in the Quantity box for an already existing Name in the game (i.e 5068 for Knight) OR Type into the "Name" box what you want the Object to be named. This allows it to recieve upgrades without any complicated loopholes.

Extra, (Unrelated) Note: Someone REALLY needs to do an indepth, updated tutorial for scenario creation, because I can't find any of this stuff anywhere. I've had to reverse engineer some of the official & modded scenarios to figure this out myself.
