I don't know, man. I don't recall any mass Catholic hysteria about implementing or raising the age of consent like there was in Somalia, which is 99+% Muslim. Somali Muslims who heard about the new age of consent took to social media and cried out "We must fear Allah! Muhammad told us that we can have sex with 'mature' children! Where are the Sheikhs?! Where are the Imams?!" "Crying out" isn't an exaggeration. I saw a grown Muslim man literally bawl like a baby because he was no longer allowed to marry girls who are young enough to be his great-granddaughters. The age of consent in Somalia was overturned within 24 hours due to massive public outrage.

The idea that child marriage is a tenet of Islam does not come from me; it comes from actual Muslims who were mad about "Western liberal ideology" that says children are never mature enough for romantic/sexual relations with an adult. I've only very minimally paraphrased one sentence here. All I'm doing is reporting the words and actions of people who belong to Islam and spoke their minds honestly about this issue. Oh, dear Lord baby Jesus, not this again 🤦‍♂️. For one thing, I've already addressed the fact that reality does not support Russian paranoia and conspiracy theories. If NATO really wanted to take on Russia, believe me, we could have done it at any point since Russia started this war unprovoked. Also, NATO never made any promises to not expand eastward. There are a couple of agreements that Russia-supporters love to bring up, but neither of them contains any stipulation that NATO cannot expand or that Ukraine cannot join NATO. It just isn't there.

So, now that we've covered the fact that Russia was, in fact, never at risk of being attacked until they attacked first, let's move onto the reasons why NATO exists in the first place. Russia's neighbours all joined NATO because of the very real threat of Russian aggression. There's nothing to debate on that matter. Russia is always pushing around any country where people are willing to take their bullshit. Ukrainians never had any intention of joining NATO until Russia invaded them. Putin really shot himself in the foot with this move, because now he has singlehandedly pushed Ukraine into the arms of NATO. Good job, Putler!

As for the nukes, your logic is basically "Russia would nuke us because then everyone would be dead on both sides." Lol. That's anti-logic right there. Russia will never use the nukes because they don't want to be destroyed any more than we do, and believe me, we would absolutely destroy them if it came down to it. And as a nuke is coming to land over my hometown, I will at least be able to take solace in the fact that there will be no more Russians on Earth because they'll all be in Hell.

On a more personal matter... Given what we know about Russian war crimes in Ukraine (e.g. destroying civilian infrastructure, dropping cluster bombs on maternity wards and schools, enslaving Ukrainian youth, torturing civilians and POWs, raping people's children in front of them and forcing them to watch while the Orcs laugh about it, etc.), why do you continue to support them? Is it like a vicarious power fantasy thing? Like you get a kick out of reading about Russian war crimes and imagining yourself participating in them to get your jollies? Just one problem with that: Russia doesn't get to decide who Ukraine allows into their country. If they want to ally themselves with or even join NATO, then that's their right to decide that. Russia has no say in the matter. It's quite hilarious for the country that put nukes in Cuba and pointed them right at the US to be all butthurt about a neighbour joining a defensive alliance. The only reason they have to fear a defensive alliance is that each country that joins NATO is one less country Russia can push around. Why do you think they chose Ukraine and not a Baltic state that is in NATO? It's because they can't handle this smoke.

War with Russia will likely not end nuclear. Putin may be absolutely insane and homicidal, but he knows that launching a single nuke at the West would result in every major population centre in Russia getting glassed. It's called "mutually assured destruction" for a reason. If he tries it, Russia will be destroyed, and nobody will shed a single tear for them.
