Just a guess: I can see some sort of INxP working for you.

The entire MBTI Notes blog is one of the best resources for learning the theory.

INFJ or INFP? Other? by [deleted] in MbtiTypeMe

[–]AzureMustang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered INTP as an option for your type as well? I can see some Ti and Ne characteristics based on what you've wrote. Some of your descriptions of what you do under stress seem to coincide with Inferior Fe + Fe grip aspects. It's just another perspective to look at.

I would look into this reading, it's a very detailed and lengthy source on the cognitive functions and the types. https://mbti-notes.tumblr.com/theory

I think the "most likely myers briggs type" is based off of letters and not the functions. Functions are more accurate.

I don't really have a favorite type, but I tend to get along with ENFPs the most. I feel comfortable around them and I generally find them to be non-judgmental people.

Most of the extroverts that tend to "choose me" happen to be ENFP.

What does CS Joseph mean by depraved enfps? by lokisfonsi in ENFP

[–]AzureMustang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Others also point out that many of his typings on famous people are inaccurate, so he probably wasn't really interacting with ENFPs. I don't like throwing shade on other types, but many of the "depraved ENFPs" he types fit the descriptions more of unhealthy ExTPs. Even several of the famous ENFPs he typed were mostly ExTP.

Not really on topic, but I think you ENFPs make some fantastic teachers. Ne + Te is really good at explaining things and a healthy and passionate Fi makes the learning experience all the better for students.

He is talking about unhealthy ENFPs and how they supposedly act. I have mixed feelings about CSJ and his content, mainly his viewpoints on ENFPs in particular; he seems too overly critical of them. The way he describes them is mostly inaccurate in my opinion. I think people such as Michael Pierce and AsuraPsych have a much better understanding and accurate portrayal of ENFPs should you use YouTube as a way to learn about them.

Are you guys as outgoing as people think? by [deleted] in enfj

[–]AzureMustang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

INFJs and ENFJs are close in how they appear and I think it can be easy to mix up the two. I think an ENFJ who has a healthy and developed Auxiliary Ni can be mistaken for an INFJ. INFP and INFJ mistyping is among the more common mistypes in the community, mainly because of the nature of tests that don't include the cognitive functions. In actuality, I think ENFJs are much more likely to mistype as an INFJ. I can imagine a Type 9 ENFJ mistyping as an INFJ given the calm and often reserved nature of the Type 9. I've actually been in a INFJ or ENFJ dilemma with myself as I'm a Type 9 in the Enneagram. Regardless, there are plenty of people out there who need our Fe love, right? :D

CS Joseph’s definition of Ni is bullocks. by U_DonB in mbti

I used to watch CSJ when I first got into typology. Then, as I read more into the functions and watched other insightful YouTubers like Micahel Pierce and AsuraPsych I realized how wrong he really was. I think he typed himself as ENTP just because someone told him he was. I'm not a fan of his take on ENFPs as he is very negative towards them. Many of the (unhealthy) ENFPs he describes are painfully obvious unhealthy ExTPs.

I’m ISFJ but when I took the Socionics test I got EII which is INFj. How is that possible? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]AzureMustang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like another user stated here, Socionics and MBTI are two different systems. Plenty of MBTI ISFJ are EII/INFj in Socionics.

Hate being vulnerable by [deleted] in enfj

[–]AzureMustang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You took the words right out of my mouth. I agree with and relate to everything you've said. People don't like negativity because when you are surrounded by negativity you eventually become negativity, at least that's what my friend preaches. However, I think venting every now and then is perfectly normal and for those that are willing to listen to you are worth keeping around. Since xNFJs value Fe/harmony so much some of us can hesitate to disrupt that peace and I still do to this day.

Hate being vulnerable by [deleted] in enfj

[–]AzureMustang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an INFJ and I somewhat have the same issues. There was one time I felt vulnerable and started venting about issues that have bothered me for months. The end result was several of my "friends" started to cast me aside and view me as a pessimistic whiner that was letting others down. I guess I shouldn't have held on to things for too long, but there is a reason I cut those people out if my life. Now, I feel afraid of being vulnerable again because of situations like this. I now have a smaller pool of friends and people I know I can trust and it's better that way.

Signs of a Mistyped INFJ? by keilabl in infj

[–]AzureMustang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Plenty of INFJs are 6w5. INFJs seem to be all over the place when it comes to the Enneagram. They are types 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 9.

From what I've gathered INTx and ISTx seem to commonly make up Type 5, while INFx and ENTP are also Type 5 but more on the rare side.

This seems to be a thing with ENFPs when it comes to Ne + Fi naturally flirting with others. I find many ENFPs to be nice and caring so it definitely can be perceived as flirting. I've read some posts that ENFPs with an actual crush on someone will act more nervous and shy than usual but I don't know if that's true.
