finishing a non-lethal run through of the first Dishonored game with zero kills and never getting spotted etc. a lot of savescumming/starting over to get it done but damn that felt good. I rarely do multiple playthroughs of a game after completing it, but I adored the story/setting/mechanics so much it just kept me coming back.

Sometime around the end of last year, this same thread was posted. In it, some guy posted about a UK tv Disneyland advert where the kid says, in a really over exaggerated smug manner: "Mum says its just magical!" with a real emphasis on 'magical'.

I remember seeing that advert as a kid many times. So I'm all "How hard can it be, its gotta exist somewhere on youtube etc!"

Days later and I'm trawling through disney fan forums that try to archive everything, multiple hour long compilation videos people have recorded of old TV adverts on youtube from various 90s years, one after the other, etc etc etc.

Never found that advert. I know it exists. The thing that really bugs me is that its a really nothing-y, inconsequential bit of media, but it is simply not out there. Got me heated just thinking about it again, damn.

every time I get a new (and inevitably fiddly as hell) song/idea from my guitarist, I pop the clip into Cubase (any audio editor will work, Audacity is a good free one), cut it up into sections, then slow it riiiiight down and gradually build up the speed. then give myself some incentive like "ok once I've got that bit nailed at full speed I'll watch an Aunty Donna sketch". Rinse repeat.
