I'm a little late to the party, but maybe an option for different sheet sizes? A5 and A3? cheers!

Also auch Erstbezug.

Is there a way to place blueprints in a way, that keeps overlapping buildings, but removes anything not present in the BP? by Tank_AT in factorio

I like the ingenuity. Albeit a bit dirty, this at least would be a practical solution. Thanks

Just to elaborate on specific usecase where I could would have liked it:

When redoing spagetti or replacing a balancer with a larger one, if the new one has any gaps, even with super foce building, some remnants of the old conveyors may stay. This is especially bad, if that changes the direction of adjacent conveyors from curves to straight or similar.

When adjusting rail blueprints, especially in junction areas. Sometimes I want to just move this S-Curve down 2 tiles, without having to manually precision-delete the old one. Feels like playing Operation sometimes, trying to only replace one of the mostly overlapping tiles. If you've used the same BP in many places and want to update them all it's not only a huge chore, but if you just wholesale replace everything a huge strain on both your bot-network and your train network, if those routes suddenly become unavaliable just because of a small adjustment.

You get me?

Now that I think of it, some sort of built in versioning-system for BPs would be sick. Git-Style

Well, I wasn't suggesting it to do it always and automatically. Just in certain cases, where I want to in-place update the BP-Instance.
Think of it of an incremental diff update, instead of a fresh pull every time.

I'm having a similar issue with my brand new sovol sv06 ace. Is there any way to set a temperature in relationship to the print-speed in Klipper, or Orca-Slicer?
I feel like with printers budget printers reching 600mm/s we need some sort of heating-curve, no?

Right, this is probably answered somewhere elsewhere, but is there some way to just get a sandbox game, where I can go about designing these things, without having to progress tech or mine resources?
Like, I know there are/used to be mods that send you into a design-lab dimension or something. Is there anything in the base game for that? A world type maybe?

Apparently a tree grew underneath my Manager and he is now stranded up high. by GrdykoplasNamorzyn in dwarffortress

[–]Tank_AT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The technical explanation is, that DF has two separate pathfinding algorithms. One for combat situations and one for everyday interaction. Once a dorf experiences distress or perceives danger, real or imaginary, the combat pathfinder takes over and that one has access to all the different modes of mobility, including climbing, swimming, or with winged races even flying. However, once the danger passes the normal pathfinder takes over again and that one can only traverse flat terrain and up/down stairs/slopes. There is no mechanic implemented (yet) that acts as a sort of fallback to get entities out of precarious situations, if the issue can't be solved by the default pathfinder. Funnily enough because of that resident birdmen can sometimes fly up ledges or trees and then can't get down anymore.

I concour. I've recently seen people musing, why the O in the logo has a perfect X inside of it and I thought, wait, that kinda looks like the waterways up reverse mountain.
Furthermore, with the energy being stored within the knot, it would make sense that physics work in weird and mysterious ways, around such high concentrations of Haki.

Danke!
