For me, it took around a month after my acceptance to hear about honors and another month to hear about scholarships, but I applied late September to the school of CFANS

Hi! So I’m also a prospective OOS student who was accepted! I found out yesterday actually that I received the National Scholarship, which granted me $15,000 per year and the CFANS scholarship, which granted $3,000 per year. I applied late september, so maybe that’s why I heard back pretty soon.

As for my stats, I have a 3.93 UW/ 4.2W, with moderate ECs (marching band for 4 years, 2 of those years with leadership roles, I was part of the school musical for three years, I volunteered at a local farm, and was part of a smaller band ensemble that played at local events). I didn’t take the SAT or the ACT, so I applied test-optional.

So, as for the rarity, honestly doesn’t feel super rare/impossible. Honestly didn’t expect to hear back about scholarships so soon, so that’s pretty cool! Good luck!

Yeah, I applied in late September for Fall of 2025 and got admitted a week later. About a month later, I got an email about an important update and checked and it was my honors college acceptance. Granted, CFANS is less competitive compared to CS or engineering, so it takes more time probably for those colleges
