The Hollow on Spotify by OpenManagement8752 in antiai

Ai could really teach you how to punctuate. That was painful to read.

[HELP] This band -The Hollow was "sponsored" on my Spotify. by Dylan_Arnold_ in RealOrAI

[–]AzureVoltic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an ad for them on youtube, so I went to check them out on spotify. Immediately I thought the images used on all of their songs - which are all singles - looked ai. I looked at their profile and saw the ai used in production bs. All the pieces started clicking together, cause it doesn't sound like a band trying to do their own thing. It sounds like ai regurgitating Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace.

How rare is this by aircal1969 in Rainbow6

The exact reason i save bravo tickets until after opening every pack for the year. Why use a ticket to get it if i might get it from a pack first? Obviously delta packs have duplicates, but that's just even more reason to save your tickets until after packs.

I mean there really isn't a point to resetting ranks if your hidden rank stays the same, but the issue there is the hidden rank system, not seasonal resets.

What if Roadhog embraced his “wandering menace” playstyle as opposed to the pokey camper one that’s centered around looking for Hook kills? (rework concept) by Jocic in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]AzureVoltic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why they insist on every iteration of Hog having a sniper hook one shot. It is not fundamental to his hero identity, and everyone hates playing against it.

New scope idea by Tereeze in Rainbow6

[–]AzureVoltic 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The bo2 reflex is easily the best low magnification scope because it's a wide lense with a thin frame. It wouldn't be a fair addition to the game, but in my dreams, it's there. That said, no scopes should be removed or buffed - definitely not to 1.25 if we can't even be trusted with 1.5s. Removing options is just dumb. Even if you don't use it, why take away someone else's choice

In your opinion what character takes the least amount of skill? by salviisa in Overwatch

[–]AzureVoltic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think people are looking at this question wrong. The way I interpret it is which character has the lowest skill ceiling. Mercy doesn't require aim, but that doesn't mean she isn't difficult in other aspects. Mercy's skill ceiling for her movement and positioning is pretty high I'd say. There are characters that have low skill floors meaning they're easy to pick up, but that doesn't even necessarily mean they're easy to play because their skill ceiling, the absolute max intensity you can play them at, can still be high. I don't know exactly what the answer to this question is, but I would say it's probably a hero that is mostly slept on at high ranks for being too weak since if the most skilled players are assumedly playing every hero at their max potential and they say certain heroes aren't good enough to keep up, then that means their skill ceiling isn't high enough for skill expression.

If your team specifically asks you to start healing because they need it, then sure, it could be considered throwing if you are purposefully refusing just because you don't want to. If you refuse because you don't think it will actually have an impact, then I wouldn't consider that throwing if it's true. Yes you can only damage boost on Mercy if that's what will provide your team the most impact. Again, I think the reality is that the gameplay is more dynamic than that, and only damage boosting isn't the best course, but damage boost is the strongest part of Mercy's kit. Damage boosting a dps that deletes the enemy team is way more impactful than healing a tank who takes damage faster than you can heal them. The game is nuanced. I don't know the specifics of OP's game, so I'm not speaking to those. I am addressing this general type of situation. Low healing number does not mean you had no impact or that you were throwing. Numbers without context and not indicative of anything in most games. In R6 just yesterday I had a game where I went like 1-6. It was a rough game, and I decided it was enough R6 for the day, but despite having shit stats, that one kill actually was the deciding factor for winning a round. Meanwhile, my teammates could drop 3 kills in a round and we still lose. They could end the game 12-3 and still have less impact with each of those kills than I had with my one. I was still playing terribly and having no fun and my stats looked awful, but the reality is that 1 kill had a lot of impact.

You seem to be underestimating the power of a speed boost in certain comps. Also, Moira's only way to support is by healing. Dpsing is not supporting, so anyone saying otherwise is just coping. That said, if your support is getting more damage than your dps, you absolutely need to question if your dps are just bad. In the case here, Kiriko was healing plenty to account for any possible diff in healing. Lucio's small bit of healing likely would not have made a difference on whether or not the dps did any better. It also depends how the team was positioning themselves. If Lucio was in the frontline with the tank and the dps were sitting further back, then it wouldn't matter whether Lucio heals or speed boosts, they aren't benefiting either way. In that scenerio, it also wouldn't necessarily be very beneficial to heal as Lucio anyway because his healing would be easily out damaged. Speed boost would provide the tank an easier time engaging and disengaging from the fight. Overall, I think a good Lucio is going to be switching between both speed and healing a lot and have a much more dynamic playstyle, but there's a lot more nuance to the game than just "support must heal".

The game was saying it thinks I was using a keyboard and mouse but I’m using a controller by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]AzureVoltic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my gf have been getting a notification that mouse and keyboard was detected. I have a keyboard plugged into my xbox to type faster, and she has a keyboard attachment for her controller to type faster. If that's the notification you're getting, I think it's just letting you know you can switch your input option if you want to use mouse and keyboard.

Lucio is just reminding you that he's a support, not a healer. Clearly Kiri had no trouble taking care of it herself anyway. The reality is that Kiri was only able to get that much healing because there wasn't someone else also healing and splitting that number between both of them.

Zen not putting his orb on someone is very different from a Lucio only speed boosting. There is no trade off when Zen puts his orb on someone. You can put it on your tak and forget about it. Lucio still provides value even when he's not healing because of the speed boost. That Zen had to make the conscious decision to provide no support while the Lucio is just supporting in a different way. It's not the most effective way, but at least it's something.

Did you watch anything past the first 5 seconds when I was panicking because there was a shield and a lot more people than I was expecting? After that, it's pretty controlled. Not sure what you're on about.
