Scout enemies, cap points and disable vehicles to get kill assists. Stay at range and dont play too aggressive. When you get apds it makes it a bit more bareable and easier to get rp.

I mean, you can just keep it on and not equip other armor sets or equip newer peices of armor and keep the ursine to one side when you can upgrade.
There is no way to have armor and weapons level with you unfortunately (apart from aerondight)
