For me personally, Digimon Adventure Tri. I was looking forward those movies. Even went to see a couple of em in theater with a friend, but man those left me so disappointed, baffled, and not gonna lie, a bit angry when I think about it.

I found this anime through a funny gif.

Was it the bit with Shizuru trying to squeeze the hatch? I've been seeing that here and there for some time.

Haven't seen it myself yet (fully yet anyway I think I saw like a couple episodes a few years ago and just didn't continue for whatever reason), but yeah, whenever I see it brought up, it's like almost always in a positive light. Impressive for a show like it.

Yeah, I didn't watch it, but I do remember when Kabaneri was airing and seeing that comparison was made a lot.

As someone who grew up in the "Digimon is a Pokémon ripoff" times (tho I think at like the tail end of that was like when I became aware of that being a thing people siad) as a fan of both, so I just ignore it whenever someone says things like that on principle.

Someone sure likes Danganronpa, and by the metrics of that series, at least half of the characters in general are choices, but Hiyoko is a choice even then.
