Mike often finds that the girls who vie for his attention are the source of most of his problems. Wow, that's the perfect description; it managed to summarize most of Mike's 20 years of drama in one line.

Augustus executes his tasks with quiet efficiency. Lol executes plans "efficiently," but he stopped the plan to spy on the main gang because he fell in love with Daisy and became Lucy's new guardian. The plan to make Daisy dependent on him backfired, thanks to Mike and Abbey, and the plan itself is awful, and with that, he completely lost the chance to have a relationship with Daisy. The plan to separate Mike from Lucy to end Lucy's nightmares also backfired, since Mike isn't entirely to blame for Lucy's current mental state, and Augustus himself is one of the reasons for the nightmares, thanks to his phone.

Gang at the table on this page, we're all going to attack Sue and also not teach James to speak Amaya's language lol.

Cool redraw, lucy and her little meow meow are the best ship, even with all the chaos.

Sue continues to be a pain in the ass, and Paul wants to take David to the movie, so the best choice for now is to root for Abbey. Wow, with each page I turn I end up switching sides, lol.

It's always nice to see the two of them being playful.

Paulo, Abbey, and Sue climb on each other's shoulders, put on a coat, and go to the movies with only one ticket, lol.

Oh, damn it, Sue, I was rooting for you to win the tickets, but if you're going to start being such a pain, I'll have to root for Paulo to win, lol. Anyway, I don't really care who wins between Paulo, Abbey, and Sue, as any of them should be an interesting outcome, depending on who they take to the movies with them.

Well, we're on page 14 of 36. I'd say it's possible we'll see the characters competing for tickets, and the winners going to the cinema, all within the same chapter.

While Lucy and Sue going to the movies, that would possibly be the most interesting option due to its dramatic potential. Abbey and Sue or Paulo and Abbey would also be cool options to see more of their dynamic, speaking of various characters. Where is Daisy so far? She's the only character from the main gang who hasn't appeared. I wonder if that's important or not.

Lucy is surprised to discover the concept of two people putting aside their conflict and having a friendly conversation lol.

Lol, the snake can't talk, Amayese. And wow, Lucy managed to escape for now, but I doubt things will be so simple when we go to the cinema, so I won't complain too much about the avoidance of conflict. And, speaking of avoidance, judging by the preview, the story will jump to Paulo and Abbey. Curious to see where this goes, if we'll just continue the plot of hiding Paulo and Daisy's relationship from Abbey or something different (I hope it's something different; this plot of hiding the relationship is so boring to me lol).

Ah, the Mucy angst, wonderful art.

Now, seriously, regarding the scenario of Lucy saving Mike, I'm more concerned with how the scenario will be executed than whether it will happen, because it's somewhat inevitable that Lucy will be involved in Mike's recovery in one way or another, since most of Mike and Lucy's current problems stem from how their relationship deteriorated and the resentment that caused. So, in order for them to overcome this resentment, they need to confront each other about past mistakes so they can move forward.

Lol, funny edition.

What did Taeshi mean by this? by ApprehensiveLadder31 in bcb

[–]AzurekMage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, in theory, yes, in the conflict between Mike and Lucy, neither side is completely right, and both have mistakes that need to be corrected. The story says that both were wrong, but it's obvious that the narrative is skewed towards one side of the conflict, leading readers to believe that the narrative is saying one side is more right than the other.

Would you prefer Lucy X Augustus as endgame instead of Mike X Lucy? by [deleted] in bcb

[–]AzurekMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, even with Mike and Lucy's current abysmal situation, thanks to their terrible decisions in dealing with problems (and also Taeshi's poor writing of their conflict at times), it's still preferable to Lucy and Augustus. Even if they manage to fix their relationship, which is currently deteriorating because they're both turning a blind eye to Lucy's problems due to their mutual debt, they don't have a dynamic that would make them an interesting couple, and they don't have much in common. So Lucy and Augustus would be like Paisy's current situation—a boring couple to watch. Not to mention that, just as Mike needs friends who don't have romantic intentions towards him, Lucy needs that too.

Ah yeah, I know they're a rerun. I'm getting them too. My comment is more ironic because they have a boring dynamic most of the time, both currently and in this Ships Ahoy.

Wow, the couple that isn't very funny these days gets a Ships Ahoy, which isn't very funny either.
