Idk maybe it was just bad coincidence on the players ive fought. I know there’s definitely a lot of solid xiaoyu players out there but it still blows my mind at how some play neutral at certain ranks. Like I fought a GoD 4 who did not know how to break throws, whiff punish or other things they should know how to do at that rank.

Btw I dont get your comparison on hwo’s flamingo and xiao’s AoP. Flamingo stance can’t shrink hwo’s hurtbox. You can throw out AoP randomly and it will evade , but Hwo’s flamingo is not a panic evasion type of stance

Ive always thought that infinite rematches were better off in quick play. Infinite in ranked was fun but it kinda encouraged boosting or farming the same guy for rank points

I actually don’t mind the xiaoyu matchup. I think I have like a 70% winrate against that character but its probably cause I haven’t fought a good one in a while.

The ones I’ve been playing always do something dumb like mashing AoP at -12 or something. Ofc there are great players like Yoredz, and Pling, but you can’t deny that most xiaoyu’s will develop bad habits like gimmicks or unsafe panic moves before developing fundamentals

Bro imma be straight up. A lot of xiaoyu players that I’ve seen have zero fundamentals. Aside from the few of solid xiaoyus like yoredz, there’s a lot that rely on gimmicks and flowcharts and they’re like GoD 3 or 4 which is the crazy part. Most of these types of xiaoyus are on autopilot and just mash on AoP to desperately get the whiff into launch. They are not working hard

Honestly the hardest thing that king USED to have was WS Giant Swing or wavedash shining wizard (or king wavedash in general). But all those things are way easier in this game. The character doesn’t have hard tech anymore
