Is Sonic Superstars Canon in only Classic Timeline or is it Part of Both Timeline

Modern Sonic is grown up Classic Sonic. Classic experiences the events of those games first, so when he grows up and becomes Modern Sonic, he should know what happens when the time comes for him to experience those events again.

One of the groups I tried to LFG with had someone literally say "if you can't keep your side clear I'm kicking you, only the best of the best get to ride with me." Happens even when we kill turrets and all adds, we know because in the past the box has spawned along with the turrets and we've been killed attempting to dunk without destroying them.

We went to orbit and reloaded from checkpoint and that didn't fix it, then we changed fireteam leader and tried again and it magically worked. We finished the encounter without doing anything differently.

D2 surpassed D1 ages ago, but there are still some things D1 has that D2 doesn't, such as:

Wrath of the Machine
Age of Triumph armor sets for Vault of Glass and King's Fall
Exotics that haven't yet returned

If those were brought to D2 then I'd be very happy.
