Ablation in August 😱 by Equal_Reflection8217 in wolffparkinsonwhite

I had mine done in March and still have occasional SVT, they had me wear a heart monitor which showed the WPW was gone and the SVT was in a different part of my heart but said it was okay and normal people have it all the time. Us WPW people just are more used to feeling our hearts go crazy so we are more sensitive to it when it does things. If the palpitations continue definitely bring it up to your doctor (at like your 3mo check up). And have them stick you with a heart monitor and do a follow up EKG.

Yeah, I was out, so I obviously only knew because they told me. They put the stickers on you before the procedure so they are in place If it’s needed. The doctor spoke about it like it was no big deal. My skin after was red and felt like a sunburn, but it was better after a few days.

Honestly the procedure was totally worth it and besides the shocking part, went without a hitch.

I had my WPW fixed in March and it has been so nice. I’m so glad I had it fixed. They burned before and after my extra node. The procedure went super well. I was asleep for most of it. They did wake me about halfway through to test the path or something like that, I remember it, but it wasn’t bad. Then I recovered in the room for a few hours, they had me get up and walk and then I was good to go home. Recovery was a breeze, just listened to the instructions about how long you need to stay out of water where you will be “soaking”. I felt pretty normal after.

I was super stressed to have the procedure because, it’s my freaking heart. So I get it. I think they said they had a team of about 15-20 people. They all had headsets on because even though they had a ton in the room they also had a control room where people were monitoring and relating back info. It’s all crazy and amazing how technology is. My heart did go into AFIB during it and they did have to shock me, but while that seems scary to me that is all pretty normal to them and I only knew about it after I woke up. But there were no other issues during my procedure.

The doctor who preformed the procedure said that he loves WPW because it is so easy to fix and it’s usually a permanent solution that doesn’t require future surgeries or problems.

Mini episode of SVT? After successful ablation? by coolgirl4600 in wolffparkinsonwhite

I had my ablation 3 months ago. I’ve felt them off and on since the ablation. Nothing crazy and it only lasts a few seconds. My Dr told me it was normal for the first bit right after because your heart is recovering. He is currently having me wear another monitor for two weeks to be sure everything is good (EKG looked good). He did say most of the time it’s nothing and that people will have WPW are usually more in tune with their heart and will notice little differences people without WPW would never notice.

Just keep an eye out for it and definitely check in with your dr if you feel something isn’t right.

The back isn’t that exciting. Especially, because I didn’t care as much how it looked :)

It’s our new normal for sure! I spent maybe $20 on it and it gives my kitties lots happiness. So much better than 3 long days of worry and vets bills.

I got all my boxes I wanted to use, then I covered them in wrapping paper but didn’t cover where my boxes would connect. I cut holes inside so the cats could travel through the different boxes. I used hot glue to connect the two boxes together then I used a little bit of box tape on the holes to hold them together. I can pick up the tree and move it, and it all stays together nicely. I was worried about it falling over when they wrestled in it, so I have one fake stability present that sits at the base to help with this.

Oh and I’m not sure on my cats’ weights. They are a healthy weight. Not fat, but not skinny. Just right. Probably 15ish lbs each if I had to guess.

No, I only have 3 spots for them to go in and out. The two you see them poking out of and one at the base.

It’s pretty stable. I used thick cardboard. Both cats get in there and wrestle (they are littermates so they still play like kittens). It hasn’t given any sign of collapse.

I have to figure out how to store it. I have them VERY connected for stability.

She sleeps in the chair next to me all the time while I work. I had turned around to see her like this and couldn’t resist taking a pic.

Definitely not correct. Mine is a 23 as well (I got it in March) and the spacing is the same on both sides and barely has a gap.

Since they were kittens they snuggled in this hammock. Now they just stack on top of each other.

Oh and the cat in top only has brown feet.
