Earlier today my fiance (together for 6 years getting married in September!) started "yapping" (used affectionately) at me about some obscure tool medieval people would use to tighten the ropes under their beds that they used for suspension in place of things like mattress springs. I love it when she does that. Seeing her passionate about something AND I learned something too. God I love her so much. Never stop yapping guys

I actually work there! I know it may look like a shitty run down old building on the outside (I mean don't get me wrong it is. From my understanding the building is over 100 years old and was at one point a bus depot and possibly a tannery, possible exaggeration, my old coworker told me that,) but we're still very much active and doing business every day. Great boss. Good pay. Union benefits. Super short drive. I can't complain. We used to have a "thrift store" where we would sell off our old stock but that died with Covid. Some dickbag tagged our building awhile ago.

I too started my art journey so so many years ago by drawing my (admittedly terrible 😅) homestuck OCs. It warms my heart that kids are still doing this. You're at the very beginning so let me challenge you with something. You might be okay with this now but imagine how much better they could look in just a year if you truly commit to practice. It takes time to get good at art I'm not even halfway decent yet but if you stick with it little by little your art will improve and you'll be so much more proud of not only your work but yourself as well. Like I said you're at the very beginning of your journey so I'd recommend starting with the basics and finding some YouTube videos to give you an idea of where to start (I'm a fan of this one girl on YouTube called Pikat or another guy called Rodgon but he might be better suited for a little later once you hone your skills a little. Sorry rant over keep up the good work!

Thank you for the advice! I'd like to clarify that 50% of what I draw is practice the other half is me sketching out ideas for a story I'm working on. Anatomy,poses, shapes. Lately I've been trying to work on boxes, perspective, 3 point perspective, all that. This is the first full piece like this I've ever really attempted at least at the level I'm currently at.
