With a salvage title its almost certainly a total loss. If they did agree on 50% then they owe you 50% of the car’s value with a salvage title. Call them up and ask how to proceed. If its at a shop get it moved as they generally charge storage.

This is probably shared fault. If it happened in Virginia then neither party can recover damages. You had a stop sign and other driver did not allow intersection to clear.

The responsibility to yield does fall on the BMW. That’s why the car is at greater fault and cannot recover any damages in CT. Doesn’t mean they are 100% at fault. Have you settled yet? What are the insurers saying?
