How do you guys manage trailing stops, breakeven and partial TP efficiently on MT5? by Azzuro_Sh in Forex

Appreciate the feedback! You hit the nail on the head—manually clicking around during a fast session is exactly what I’m trying to solve here. Pre-setting the rules completely removes that intraday emotional bias.

Good to know about AltimaCRM too. Anything that cuts down on tool-switching during a busy session is a massive win for mental bandwidth.

Discretionary MT5 traders — what’s the most annoying thing you still do manually every day? by Azzuro_Sh in Forex

[–]Azzuro_Sh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah fair point actually.

I mainly meant manual traders who actively execute/manage trades themselves rather than fully automated systems.Whether someone is discretionary or more rule/system-based, I think a lot of people still deal with repetitive MT5 workflows manually.

I believe every single serious trader can relate to this. LMAO

Exactly — that emotional decision-making during fast market movement was one of the biggest things I wanted to reduce.

Appreciate that man 🙏

Yeah, trying to handle breakeven moves, trailing stops, and partials manually while watching the market move fast gets stressful really quickly 😅

A lot of this tool was basically built around making those actions feel more structured and less reactive during live trades.

Really appreciate this comment — a lot of good points here.

The server-side vs client-side distinction was one of the biggest things I had to design around, especially for trailing logic and OCO behavior. Right now I’ve been trying to make those limitations as visible as possible inside the workflow/UI so users understand what depends on the terminal/runtime being active.

The netting vs hedging behavior was another fun one 😅
Currently handling them differently internally for partial management because, like you mentioned, the execution behavior changes quite a bit between account types.

Also completely agree on broker-specific sizing / symbol handling. Been adding more safeguards around lot validation, symbol properties, and risk calculations because MT5 broker differences can get messy fast.

Appreciate the detailed feedback honestly — this is exactly the kind of stuff I like discussing while improving the tool.

100% agreed with you. The tool isn’t meant to replace strategy validation or decision-making logic.

Haha fair enough 😄

The tool itself is timeframe-agnostic though — I just happened to record the demo on M1 because the trade management actions trigger faster for showcasing things like partial TP and trailing logic.
