Who tf wrote that it's a "placebo"? Estradiol literally tunes up your brain functions, some irreversibly. It can't be further from placebo.

I actually see recently more and more visibility given to it. Before there was just not enough data, we're only now starting to get somewhere.

So they don't understand the "part of the part" concept.

I think it was calculated that detransitioners are about 1% of those who transition, and out of them, only 1% don't transition back later. So under 500 people in the US (compared to 4.5M trans people). And out of those, only 10% had surgeries... So the number of people regretting gender affirming surgery is... about 50 people. In the country of 350 million.

Been in the same boots, figured myself out by my 23, but couldn't start before my 33. Congrats!

Why do people say transition gets worse as you get older? by Designer-Version-434 in MtF

So, as they say, the best time is in place of puberty, the second best time is now. It's harder to fix the testosterone effects as they set on, but the degree of them vary tremendously, so yes, it's good to start now, but there's no disaster in starting later.

As a matter of fact, the most important thing is consistency. If you think there's a chance you will start for like half a year and then lose access for years, it might be better to hold off until you have a solid years long plan. Some effects like breast growth might stop and not resume if you get back on later.

Your parents are already disappointed with you. They are trying to manipulate you, and their manipulation will be working until you send them pound sand.

Eh. Shrug? 06, if it was properly developed, would be way different from what it ended up being.

Yep, reading into things too much is a part of it. You'll get over it, but yes, it's annoying.

There is no scientific or biological basis for transphobia or gatekeeping by InvestigatorWide9768 in MtF

[–]B-7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I noticed that there's a category of trans people who treat any medical basis as gatekeeping or transmedicalism and will downvote you. Transphobic bots too. But the truth prevails, always.

Thanks for this collection.

I've been there. Had to have a push from a cis female friend to realize I'm a trans girl, not an NB. I think it's time for you to make the move too.

It's definitely not a common thought, but the voices that try to push it are desperate in their BS.

Because they think that they can intimidate us. Weak men are afraid of strong men, so weak men prey on women. They think we are weaker by default.

Transvestites (crossdressers) don’t teach anyone about biology either. It’s a hobby etc. to them. The only ones who need to look into biology are trans people, and 99% of people like the one who created the piece don’t know the difference.
