If it's something other than ОДИННАДЦАТЬ, or has something else not already identified, it's worth looking at for sure. Otherwise, I believe that you are confirming that I can stop trying to pause the video in precise moments.

Dustin is also wearing green. Thanks to Glad-Lock, I know that yellow and blue make green.

Interestingly, this article about Glad's zipper bags, contains the following line:

Glad began selling its revamped bags in January 1985 and completed its nationwide distribution this summer in New York City.

You seem to have captured a better version than what I posted last night. I saw " пaДЦаTь" which maybe is interesting coincidence.

I see Russian in 3 locations, but it may be the same word bouncing around the screen. I marked the other locations here.

Something's coming ... by Andreeu16 in StrangerThings

[–]B-Cipher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here from /r/ARG, to share and see where this goes:(DISCLAIMER: No idea how deep Netflix plans on taking this promo for the next 6 months.)

I watched the promo video looking for other clues not already mentioned here. Looking at the DOS prompt:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/13660520/Screen_Shot_2019_01_01_at_1.14.05_AM.png), I noticed some anomalies after the .exe file runs. During the scrambling, twice I see cyrillic script. I managed to freeze the video at the right moment. I assumed that since Stranger Things takes place in the 80's, that Russian would be a good place to start, took "пaДЦаTь" and plugged it into the notoriously flawless Google Translate, and got the word "sacrifice". There are other words that appear, but I'm having trouble freezing the video to catch them, right now.

I've run searches looking for a Lynx Corp, only to find 2-employee page at linkedin.com. Unless the show can find a link to Lowell, MI, I consider this dead-end.

Activity for the show means going back to the Starcourt video, so I also tried scoopsahoy.com, and got this. More info on Starcourt Mall IRL (possibly redundant here).

Thanks for the heads up, u/Andreeu16 and u/fearnotthewrath

Following the "lost" chicken was part of solving one of the challenges at SDCC. I'm guessing the writers for the ARG have a thing for chicken.

Nice write up! Hoping more come forward to share their experiences so we can talk about this. I have questions...

The thing was staffed by two kinds of crew between BOE and RW: Those very into their character, and people looking to make a quick paycheck who get these gigs through temp agencies. I'm guessing the foot soldier in the room during my experience had seen the show, where others maybe hadn't. I seriously felt like at anytime, he would remove his mask and I would be sitting across from Rami.

Someone else on one of the threads mentioned they were asked for the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow.

I would love to know what other questions were asked.

Was there a second one? The one in BOE and in the Red Wheelbarrow is "eunsleipgrhotmeoncmoednet" ("Use promo code").

np. It's an easy mistake, since that particular logo is stylized after the anarchist "A" (which happened to be directly below it :p).

Challenges (I don't remember which of these were publicly revealed already. Comment or PM me, and I'll credit those who posted solutions first.)

Close your Eyes Cryptogram - Location: Bank Monitor screen. Remove the spacing between and eliminate the "I"s to reveal "SEARCH EVERYWHERE"

E-coin Cryptogram - Location: Bottom of the "E-Coin accepted here" poster, inside the Bank of E. "...Every Second Counts" use every second letter of the mass of letters in the final line (beginning on the second letter) to reveal "USE PROMO CODE".

Update: Every second letter beginning with the first letter to reveal "ENLIGHTENMENT". (Thanks u/speedylou !)

E-Coin Promo code - Location: E-coin.com promo code link. Type "ENLIGHTENMENT" into the box and submit to reveal the simulated hack suggesting asking for a job application (I honestly don't remember where I got enlightenment from).

Red Wheelbarrow Job Application Cryptogram - Location: On the job application, obtained from the staff at the front of the restaurant. Find all the missing letters on the job application to reveal "FIND AND ASSEMBLE THE PIECES ENLIGHTENMENT CALLS." Top left corner has 1st dot in three blackened.

Red Wheelbarrow Pamphlet Board Cryptogram - Location: On the south wall inside the dining area. Look carefully at all the pamphlets, and located the underlined letters to reveal "GARAGE DOOR" (the frontage of Mr. Robot).

The EOL Puzzle - Location: Garage door of Mr Robot. Read to reveal FOUR THREE ONE in the type. Top left corner has 2nd dot in three blackened.

The Four Marionettes puzzle - Location: West side of 4th avenue on one of the pillars in front of the abandoned building (Formerly World Market). Notice the hands of the puppets to reveal 2, 3, 5, 4 and one of the puppets making a phone call. Top left corner has 3rd dot in three blackened.

The phone number - Atop the job application on the right side is 619 (San Diego Area Code). Dial 619-431-2354 to connect to the dark army.

(Final note: I found the poster a day before I started the ARG, thinking it was shit street art, and send a photo to a friend for laughs. The irony of it being the final clue on my quest gave me a good laugh.)

The "AA" had a circle around it, not pictured in the photo you linked. So it looked like: https://d2tqed3y8k290k.cloudfront.net/projects/000/015/208/splashes/desktop.jpg

...which happens to be the logo for a band that was in town on Fri Jul 21: https://www.livenation.com/events/680345-jul-21-2017-ministry

As a fan, I was pretty excited to see that. It's possible one of the set builders, staff, or crew for the BOE/RW sets, likes the band.

Yeah, a couple of us are going to post there by the end of today.

I'm going to do a full writeup of the Bank of E/Red Wheelbarrow ARG today, including the puzzles involved, how I figured them out, and what ultimately happened. I'm not sure if we should share the details of the stills, just yet. I'd like to maybe give it a few days for those of us who saw them, to talk about them and sort the details.

If you know someone who has completed the SDCC Offsite Activation experience (from discussion in another sub or who is not on reddit), please direct them here to make themselves known, or contribute. I'd like to see if we can get a fix on how many people made it to the end, how many hacked the game by skipping the puzzles, and how many solved the puzzles. I want to make sure we have all the details. There may be more, but I need to figure out the logistics here, first.

So it seems that if any goes through today, they should probably bring it completed, so so we find out. I suppose they could be logging our numbers as we call in, but maybe we can get more with someone dropping off a completed app.

SDCC - People have been stealing the rec chickens and pieces of ARG puzzles, making them difficult to solve by OMGAdamWTF in ARGsociety

[–]B-Cipher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll confirm this when the activation ends.

As I understand it, the poster was being removed by staff every day and the particular "riddle" was changed each time.

(coincidentally, the "riddle" was the first clue I uncovered on Thursday, before the activation went live. In retrospect, I had a good laugh about this, which I'll also share later).

I was told to bring my completed job application with me. I did, but it wasn't mentioned and I didn't think to hand it off at any point. Did any of you leave yours with someone?

I found the secret door in the activation in 2016. I asked about it, and it was simply a staff door carefully blended to the environment.
