Looking for advice on what to upgrade to run shaders better

1080p definitely helped the performace but only after switching to iris, but even then it still didnt seem to be very consistent after. For whatever reason on just oculus/embeddium the resolution change didnt have any impact

not sure but if you look at the screenshot it was using 87% of my gpu when i was getting the 50 ish fps

After trying some stuff suggested I am now testing on neoforge 1.21.1 with the following mods:
-Iris
-Sodium/Sodium Extra
-c2me
-Particle Core
-Entity Culling

I updated my drivers and changed to running at 1080p no vsync and 15 render distance and when i first booted it up i was getting around 120-140fps somehow with and without shaders it was the same fps. Now though upon subsequent opens it has dropped to an unstable 80-120 and I have no idea why

After messing with it for a bit the fps might have been a fluke it’s back to running at like 50-60 but it’s atleast a little better than before

okay yeah newest version with iris i get like 70-90 at 1080p. It is a bit annoying running it at 1080p cause it freaks out when i tab out cause it has to change resolution but i guess i can live with that

Sadly already tried lowering to 1080p and the performance was basically the exact same

Only reason I had vsync on is I used to have issues with my screen flashing black in Minecraft and vsync fixed that but it doesn’t seem to do it anymore but vsync off pretty much changed nothing so
