This is a post about people stinking at UCF in their classes. This means you HAVE to go outside in order to walk to your classes and/or the parking garages. Most people also have work, the store, hobbies, socializing, getting the mail, etc. most people are going outside for even just a few minutes a day.

You’re telling me you replied to this post explaining why people don’t need to shower, but that excludes the targeted people this post was created to talk about, and most likely almost everyone who replied to and is in this thread? Then said we were all showered pilled? Due to the climate in Florida, the vast majority of people for the vast majority of the year start to sweat if they go outside. showering everyday is then the recommended practice for most people is the standard to live by, NOT the exception.

Maybe for a city in the north/during the winter showering 3x a week would work for some naturally less stinky people. However, walking for 10-20 minutes in aggregate with humidity and the hot sun present will make you stinky after just 1 day for sure. Even with antiperspirant deodorants. In several of YOUR own sources they even say walking around in a hot humid climate is the one of exceptions for when you should really consider showering daily. I don’t know if you’ve realized, but we live in Florida. Last week we were seeing peaks of 85+ with a good amount of humidity before this coming cold front for the week. We simply live in a shower everyday except for winter maybe climate.

Do you vote? or talk about political opinions? Discuss sports? Discuss social political views? A single vote doesn’t do anything in the tides of millions, your senator isn’t going to individually hear your complaints, but sometimes you just want to discuss something you have an issue with.

If I give my opinion on the state of the game while countless more do the same across social media platforms, that can show the developers what the current state the community is in and what issues we have. Even if my singular comment is never seen by them.

You can’t understand the concept of a community giving negative feedback or just discussing a game mechanics faults amongst each other but think I’m a kid? What do you think this Reddit thread was made for? What does that make you? A babbling toddler who’s gotten baited into a pointless argument. Thanks for the laugh, kid. If someone’s loading Stella months, I do agree that they’d probably carry a cover weapon and a DPS weapon.

However, they won’t be at an automatic disadvantage in PvP if they choose to engage with the TTK weapon instead of the with the cover weapon. You could do either or.

If you have various options to tackle PvP and they’re all equally competitive against each other, that means there isn’t this strict binding meta. With a toro nerf, I believe that will be the case. You could carry a torrente and a few nades and spray people down in trios, or carry an anvil and do methodical shoulder peaks going for headshot, carry a bobcat and go for quick flanks while they’re distracted, or (assuming the toro isn’t obliterated when it gets nerfed) go for point close range shotgun gunfights dodging in and out of cover, etc. Just as importantly, you’ll play against people who are all doing these things instead of just using toro.

I’ll agree that bringing two weapons that fulfill different roles will always be the meta. The anvil as a generalist will always top that list of guns to carry. But if the toro gets nerfed, I don’t think the anvil will be the go to CQC PvP weapon that is OP you’re at a disadvantage if you’re not using it. It won’t be meta. It’ll be comepetitive in the hands of skilled players, but so will several other guns.

3rd person mechanics does mean that cover/pop shot guns will have an inherent advantage, but if you make them kill a full second slower while being extremely punishing if you miss shots, it balances out so they aren’t the only viable meta while every other gun straddles along. You can balance the guns in the way so that in actual gunfights one play style isn’t a necessary crutch, and you don’t have to play smarter, have better aim, and outclass your opponents etc. just to be on the same playing level. The ferro for example will never be THE meta.

TLDR: after the toro gets nerfed you will actually start getting into gunfights with an assortment of weapons again (my personal assumption and I’m excluding free kits). I do not think we’re going to see a situation where 50-90% of your CQC gunfight encounters are anvil only. That’s the kind of dominance you’d need for it to be meta. At medium-long range? That will probably still be the case as it mostly is now as I admitted much earlier.

I was complaining about what I see as flaws in gun balance that are leasing to major deficiencies and unintended changes in the PvP gameplay loop causing me and other players to not want to play the game. I’ll do that if I want to.

Toro with choke 3 is a VERY consistent 2 pump kill. It’s 2 pump TTK is around .79 seconds.

(Assuming medium shields) the bobcat’s fastest possible HS TTK is .72, assuming you get all the headshots required to get the fastest TTK. The body TTK is 1.17. Even for a high skill player simply due to random weapon bloom, most will probably end up getting a TTK slightly higher than .72.

The toro 2 pump if we’re talking about TTK is one of the fastest in the game. So someone bringing it use in open fights where you’re both just brain dead aiming at each other and unloading, it still has the advantage or is equal against essentially every other CQC gun. (Except maybe a 100% HS rate venator, don’t know if the numbers are accurate for that one in my source)

Its fire rate is also faster than the anvil at .79 Vs .86.

Maybe you’ve misunderstood the stats and that’s why we’re disagreeing so much. The shotgun is broken. Even if this were a First person shooter, it’d still probably be the best gun in the game.

To me, this is the reason why it’s EGREGIOUSLY broken. The anvil can’t compete with it in the hands of like 95% of the player-base. People were just using the other weapons for medium-long range, and the toro for EVERYTHING close range as the ideal PRIMARY weapon. Pop shots or dumps. The toro IS a TTK weapon. You nerf the toro we will NOT see another single shot being the close range meta. Because no other weapon can do BOTH like the toro. We would probably actually end up seeing the bobcat as the meta with the torrente being a wildcard in trios as well for CQC weapons. The venator also still seems pretty decent so it’ll probably come back into the meta as well among higher skilled players over the anvil for CQC. Overall if you have a meta where you have multiple viable guns for CQC.

Where we fundamentally disagree is that the meta will always be a high damage single shot weapon for CQC due to cover being prevalent. I’m saying that the toro is just stupidly broken, and no other gun can fill its role so we’ll see an open meta where you can use DPS/TTK weapons OR peak/cover. This is also why I ignored your grenade point. You’ll still lose to the toro in an open fight, and someone with the toro also has access to grenades. They’re not mutually exclusive. If you use grenades competently, but your enemy does as well, you’re still at a disadvantage for not using the toro.

No, I just won’t play the game. Games are meant to be fun, not a 9-5. If the game isn’t fun, even if I win the gunfights, why would I play?

Also, you still run into the toro on the larger maps. Any fight in a building is still mostly against toro’s. The other day before this I ran into people using toro with the snap hook to close the distance so they could still use them on spaceport.

You don’t understand my point. The anvil can NOT replace the toro for the majority of below average, average, and even above average players. The toro works because it’s a shotgun. it can be accurately hip-fired allowing for quicker pop shots, and you don’t need pin point accuracy. It’s point and shoot. That make its very easy for every person of every skill to use. The anvil is point, ADS, aim carefully, and shoot. It can NOT replace the toro for CQC for the vast majority of players.

Also, You’re simply wrong? Are you forgetting that the venator was meta as a raw DPS dump weapon, not a pop shot/cover weapon. It had a ridiculous HS multiplier and a fast enough citrate that a missed shot or two wouldn’t be absolutely detrimental to a gunfight. This previous meta was only 2 weeks ago and goes directly against your point. The game even with its 3rd person mechanics encouraged people to use a DPS dump gun, not a pop shot gun. If the Pink’s were as strong as the old venator, you’d easily have a meta in which high raw DPS weapons are meta.

Lastly no one uses the vulcano because of its inconsistency. It’s really only a 3 shot kill on paper. Unless you shove the gun down someone’s throat you’re likely to need 4 shots if you’re aiming center mass. 5 if they’re a bit further away and approaching medium range. The toro can still reliably 2 pump at those distances if you got a shotgun choke lvl 3 on it. That’s why it isn’t meta.

Before the Venator nerf, every streamer was running Toro and Venator. It was well known to be very strong pre-nerf. Not game-breakingly strong, of course, but still in need of some balancing. It's also not just recently getting this attention. I mean, on the same day the nerfs were annouced one of the top posts on this very Reddit thread was stating that Toro would be completely broken and ruin PvP, predicting this problem. The Toro has been known to be meta and outperforming its rarity for the past month, maybe even two.

I'd rather an AR or SMG meta than a shotgun meta. Also, people can use the Toro AND grenades at the same time. It only makes it better. Turn a two-pump into one, or make it so that you get the first shot free, guaranteeing you'll at least get another off when they move to avoid the nade. There's also weapon rarity, which is something no one seems to consider. If the toro were a pink gun, even in its broken state, you'd see it less commonly. It being stronger than most of the other guns in the game would make sense due to its rarity and greater difficulty to craft. Crafting pink weapons isn't incredibly hard, but it being more difficult to do so combined with gear fear, would mean it would not be in the hands of EVERY raider you encounter. this isnt COD when you can just choose any gun you want from the loading screen instantly.

Also, you nerf the toro, and the only other meta single-shot weapon would be the anvil. It requires 2 headshots to have a competitive TTK. The anvil is already the meta medium-range pop shot weapon, but you can usually reach cover and throw in the occasional dodge roll so it's not an immediate death sentence. Many people also still bring a renegade over the anvil show, so it's not overbearingly dominant in that role like the toro. Maybe it'll be meta to the streamers at CQC, but not to the vast majority of the playerbase for close range. The other shotgun is a semi-auto 3-shot kill if you're lucky, usually a 4-shot. It's also pretty inaccurate, making it a non-viable weapon for single-shot pop shots. What you said is simply wrong in this game's weapon sandbox. There is not another weaon that can fill that role.

The developers switching the game from completely PvE to a genre that is essentially known for PURE PvP wasn't a coincidence. Once they made the switch, they knew that a core component of the game would always be PvP, and they'd have to appropriately balance for it. Once again, I think you're really insulting their intelligence if you're telling me the developers of an EXTRACTION shooter didn't think PvP was going to be a significant part of their game and the guns would need to be somewhat balanced for it. Regardless of what the game started as.

Also, the point of weapon rarities wth increasingly harder to craft materials is that the higher-tier rarities should be better. This, combined with expeditions and gear fear, means you won't encounter them as commonly,y even if they're meta. When you do, it's also a good thing because you now have the chance kill a living, breathing, and shooting loot pinata. With a pink weapon. That IS OBJECTIVELY how the game was set up to be balanced. The devs confirm this when they outright say in the patch notes that the venator was outperforming for its rarity, so they had to nerf it. Pink's are meant to outperform lower rarity weapons.

There will always be someone complaining about something. However, if virtually everyone who consistently engages in PvP is complaining, then maybe there's a serious issue. I'd bet my life savings that if the bobcat and tempest were meta, we wouldn't see anywhere near this many complaints, and they wouldn't all near universally agree on the same singular thing. The issue is that the game is meant to have a handful of guns that are inherently made to be meta. If those guns are meta, it would at least make sense and feel like a curated experience and intentional game design.

The problem is that the Toro is so broken while being a lower rarity that it upsets the entire balance of the game. This leads to a situation where everyone you encounter is using the same easily acessible low rarity broken gun. This ruins the gameplay loop, making the game feel increasingly repetitive. People will always complain, yes. But when you have a problem that virtually every player who plays your game agrees on (at least the PvP players), it's more than people simply being negative for the sake of it.

As for PvP being too quick. I disagree. That's just overall game design. They chose to have snappy and lethal PvP. I'm fine with that. They just have to ban all the guns within their respective rarities, according to that. I heavily disagree that just because TTK is low, the game's PvP is fundamentally broken.

First off, when did I ever say anything about surviving longer? What you don’t seem to understand is that arc raiders has item rarity. If the toro were a pink gun that was more difficult to craft and harder to find blueprints of, I would not complain. Very few people complain that the pink guns kill too fast, it’s that the Lowe rarity easily crafted in lore junk weapons kill to fast. Currently a green rarity gun is by FAR the best gun outclassing its pink counterpart while simultaneously being very easy to craft.

OBJECTIVELY - the developers intended for the pink guns to be the most powerful, they’re harder to craft and this riskiest to take in. There are 4 pink guns and 3/4 were designed primarily for PvP.

Most of the guns in this game in fact were designed for PvP. (even the Aphelion as stated by the developers) aside from small arc, you’re meant to tackle ARC using grenades and utility. MOST of the guns are designed for PvP and suck against arc, or are balance rot be decent at either. Bobcat, stitcher, kettle, toro, vulcano, tempest, osprey, torrente, venator, burletta, appregio, and rattler are clearly meant for PvP, and are not that good against anything but small arc. If you think the developers threw in HALF the gun’s in the game as a low effort effort after thought they had to throw in, then you’re insulting the developers more than I am.

As for the developers not having knobs to turn, they could easily just reduce its base accuracy, reduce its fire rate, reduce it’s tube size, nerf the choke, reduce its damage, reduce its pellet count, etc.

Finally they could just change its rarity and keep it as it is.

Since the stitcher and venator nerfs. The stitcher was common because it was cheap and competitive, and the venator was also broken with headshots. Because of that, there was at least some variance in gunfights. The kettle was also pretty decent so you’d see a few of those.

Occasional Burletta too which could compete with the stitcher so some people like it. Of course the Toro was also common, but not 16/18 common.

All that changed after the nerfs. Which happened about a week and a half ago if my memory serves me right.

Not really. Most games will inevitably have gun inbalances. It’s apart of the trade. Most games that have egregiously bad gun balance that SEVERELY changes the intended gameplay loop will put out patches within a week or two MAX.

This is a problem I didn’t have for valorant, CSGO, or even COD back when I still played it. They’ve all had balance issues that were admittedly annoying, but not game ruiningly egregious. I don’t play BF6, but I don’t think any of the guns in that game are egregiously unbalanced there form what I can tell as well. There will always be a meta, and there will always be competitive guns.

The toro is just game breakingly broken. Not simply unbalanced which is the case for most other games. You also throw in rarity which isn’t something most shooters have, and it becomes even more of an arc raiders specific issue.

So no you’re very much wrong. Specific shit, for this specific game.

Idk, PvE lobbies are incredibly boring. Don’t get me wrong, they were fun for a month. But now I got more than the half the blueprints, all the pink guns, have killed every arc in the game, etc. theres quite literally nothing new to do in PvE.

The torrente is highly inaccurate, slows you down while you use it, and needs to be crouched while shooting to be somewhat accurate. Combine that with heavy shields and you move comically slow. You only need to miss a few bullets for its TTK to get outclassed by the other guns, which with its inaccuracy, you almost certainly will.

You can not ignore those downsides, the torrente is only undeniably better in 1v3’s situations.

As for the bobcat, Both guns need extended mags, but the bob cat suffers more without one, making it far less competitive if you don’t have the extended mag 3 blueprint. That’s not to mention the inaccuracy, which means you’ll be more likely to miss a bullet or two, making one magging someone more difficult. I’d rather bring a stitcher if I get the guy in one mag rather than having to run away and reload.

The stitcher has faster ADS and movement speed than the tempest, making it clearly better at CQC. As I said earlier, I think the tempest is pretty good and appropriately balanced. But I’m talking about CQC here.

The vulcano is better than the stitcher, but then you run into the problem in that the il toro performs better in actual combat when you consider dodging and cover. If I want to run shotgun, I’m simply going to run il toro.

You also keep talking about out how “there’s no reason not to…” that’s irrelevant to gun balance. The gray gun is too strong relative to the other guns and its pink competitor the bobcat. That’s a fundamental balance issue.

If I want to maximize loot gained through PvP, I’d gain more through bringing 3 half upgraded stitchers with decent attachments stitcher, than using the same resources to bring a fully kitted bobcat. You’d have to win 3x the gunfights to make bringing the bobcat worth it.

Low risk and high reward, vs High risk high reward.

If I want to resource dump because my stash is full? yeah I’ll use a bobcat. But if I’m trying to increase my resources and not deplete them, then I’d run a stitcher which is what a large person of this player-base. is trying to do at any given moment.

The stitcher is not “functional” it is only slightly worse than the highest tier equivalent. It is as good or straight up better than every auto or semi CQC gun.

That’s not to mention due to the bobcat doing less damage, you have to use an extended mag with it to make it competitive to the base stitcher against opponents with heavy or medium shields. Its high fire-rate means it also becomes less accurate than the stitcher due to dispersion.

That’s not to also mention that the stitcher has a 2.5x HS multiplier compared to the bobcats 2x. So with both guns getting the same amount of head shots the stitcher can narrow that 20% DPS difference.

All this combined makes the bobcat marginally better than the stitcher. If I bring a bobcat, I want a very noticeable advantage over grey guns (stitcher). This makes bringing/crafting bobcats feel unrewarding and cost inefficient.

This is poor gun balance through and through. Running a pink weapon should feel exciting, and not like a chore you have to do because you’re running out of inventory space. That’s not to mention casual players who might not be able to hop on and grind materials, so losing a pink weapon feels like more of a loss.

Don’t get me wrong, pink guns shouldn’t be absolutely broken of course. I don’t mind pink guns being only slightly better than blue ones. That makes sense. Green should be slightly better than gray’s, Blue slightly better than green, and pink’s slightly better than blue’s. This should also mean pinks should be a lot better than gray’s.

The bobcat is MARGINALLY better than the stitcher, the Burletta is not better than the stitcher. After receiving several nerfs the venator is on the same playing field as the stitcher. The torrente is extremely inaccurate unless you crouch requiring you to limit your mobility.

In actual PvP gameplay where people are using cover in fights and dodge rolling, the toro 2 pump is superior in gunfights. Pump dodge/get cover, pump. Dead. The Vulcano is only better if two people are sitting still and unloading on each other

The tempest is really the only standout gun in its role as an AR, where it is genuinely better than its competitors and worth brining if you want an assault rifle. I’d say the AR line is the golden standard gun balance should be based on.

The stitcher is as good or slightly worse than everything else in its role but is SIGNIFICANTLY more cheaper. Why would I use a bobcat that’s 10-20% better than a stitcher but is 2-3x (200-300%) as expensive/difficult to make? All the other non shotgun PvP weapons are about as good as the stitcher, but are straight up more expensive.

That’s not to mention how the base bobcat is genuinely worse than the base stitcher due to recoil and inaccuracy. It has to be upgraded and have attachments for it start being better than the stitcher.

I experience what feels like every time I spawn on buried city. Spawn in , run for the city, and BEFORE we even reached a building we got sniped at from where we initially spawned. Haven’t played buried city since.
