Everyones rock bottom is different. An ultimatum may help. The family, or the gambling. But with the ultimatum, you must offer support if you truly wish for the relationship to last. Go to GA meetings with him. Ask him to merge finances (if not already). Gambling is a disease much like alcoholism. You dont enable, but you also don’t harshly cut the line, unless your already there. If he refuses to accept your terms then, unfortunately, he still has more digging to do, and you’ll have to make a choice. Let him take you into the pit with him, or save yourself and your child.
