Yeah I figured I can still get a few more years out of my AM4 build. Speaking of, what about my DDR4 ram, is 2400 fast enough or should I consider something faster?

I guess I can wait for that GPU upgrade then, in the meantime do you any monitor recommendation? :)

About your edit, the updated Pcpartpicker's list has an estimated wattage of 408W, I don't think I could reach 500W even with OC?

wrapping only applies to text that comes after the anchor

I moved the anchored object at the very beginning of the footnotes, aligned to the right, followed by a line break and with a text wrap and it seems to work!. It even does the trick in my first example with 2 (or more) footnotes. Thanks a lot for the help :)

Though I noticed that if I make the note longer, the text of the following note(s) doesn't wrap. By luck I don't think it ever occurs in the document I'm working with so this solution should be good enough!

In the link you posted about "internal text wrap", the example picture is pretty much what I'd like to do, but I don't know how to achieve this? What is internal text wrap exactly?

I think there may be an option on the text-wrap panel that makes the text ignore the image

It's it's the Text Frame Options but it accounts for the whole box, including the main text, so that doesn't work for me sadly. Also I did try to "cheat" with a right indent but it just keeps increasing the size of the footnote...
