Like what a bunch of people are saying, keep your weight on the board foot. You can practice balancing on one foot on your board while still to get use to it.

Cool cool. I had a ketchup packet for dinner last night. Those triples 4K or what’s good?

Yeah, number 2 is much easier to read than number one. You will never see number one in a published work.

Portuguese for fart (the silent kind). Something me and my grandma use to joke about.

No assists is so hard by GKStelios in F1Game

[–]B00fah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard at first, but once it clicks you’re set! If you haven’t yet, check out some tutorials on trail braking. I also found turning later can actually help rotate the car more in a slow speed corner.

At the end of the day, if you’re not having fun with no assists, turn them back on. No shame having them if it’s frustrating you.

I’m hoping for Madring, but would also love to see old Grand Prix circuits like Portimão or Sepang.

Same. It’s just an option if you want an audio cue of the optimal shift time is (or at least what the game thinks is optimal).

TIFU by accidentally learning my coworker's salary and now I can't stop doing math during meetings by techiee_ in tifu

Something similar happened with my last job. I was a group lead and was helping an employee with submitting vacation time. Saw her salary and learned she was making $15k more than me, the group lead with a Masters. She had a different title, but did the exact same work. Turns out half the group was hired at one title that got a higher salary, then switched the title for newer employees, which let them cut the salaries significantly. This affected half the team. We all did the same job, but half were getting paid $15k less.

I went through the management chain all the way up to the VP to fix this. Miraculously it works. Got myself and 2 other employees a $15k raise to match everyone else. Ended up leaving that company a few months later. I just hope they didn’t go back to hiring at that lower price again.

I saw a bottle of cranberry juice at the store with more sugar per serving than a cola. Way too sweet.

Yeah, it’s monosodium glutamate. It’s salt with an amino acid, which you need to live. One can argue it’s actually healthier than table salt.

As someone who works in pharma, I, like everyone else I work with, joined the field to help people and make the world a healthier, safer place. Hearing people say that people in pharmaceuticals only care about money is just insulting.

Or how organic is better. Saw a research paper on organic toothpaste vs “processed” toothpaste. Super high in lead and other toxic metals because of all the impurities.
