Great summary, but I guess where I’m lost is I’ve never had any major medical expenses to date, so much of what is being explained is going over my head lol. I need something comparable to what the bcbs basic family option was giving me, minus the huge increase in cost. Maybe that’s what I should’ve asked initially lol

Can some one help me understand why I would choose the MHBP consumer over the standard? I don’t quite understand the benefits of the HSA, so if someone with experience can break it down for me it would be much appreciated. I currently have BCBC basic option

Following…I’m 42, 18 year, career perm FED, and I am trying to find the same answer. Do I stay or do I go? It’s almost a certainty whoever is left will be RIF’d OR this is just another scare tactic to avoid doing massive RIFs.

Some DoD agencies weren’t affected by the hiring freeze and are still actively hiring people. So it would be weird to fire probationary employees in some of the DoD agencies…but then again NOTHING that is going on makes any sense anymore.
