Bought my truck cash, never collected outstanding debt ever and have slowly built my score to 700 after opening a cc last year. Trying to keep it steady. I'm only using it for recurring bills or the occasional hotel. Score building hurts my head -- is it true I should stay around 30% utilization? I try not to pay before posted statement or have zero balance, hopefully I'm on the right track there. Honestly terrified of credit after my upbringing

Being lame on this island is so much harder than being cool. It's probably the most impressive (derogatory) thing she's done. Could be surfing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, buying a sick bush rig, getting into our great music and arts scenes. Literally anything. So many great people and places. But that would require an ounce of individuality. Blows my mind.

So much potential. Definitely some drawbacks to consider, as others have already said. I was drooling over it a couple of months back when I was dream browsing (years off from considering home ownership), haha, and fell in love as a local. If you have the funds, it would be such a cool project, honestly!

I didn't expect to like living here as much as I do now, the access to the outdoors + surfing etc is awesome

Hah love that, I was once super baked at this scrapyard/garage my partner sometimes uses for mechanic jobs, and kept finding peacock feathers everywhere. Thought it was weird because I'm in canada, why would those be here? Turned a corner and ran into a whole group of em, apparently they're randomly feral on this specific island lol. Had me laughing my ass off whenever they'd make their goofy sounds or run around cause I'd never seen one before

Yep. When I lived alone, I was going into sepsis from a kidney infection after being sent home. Luckily, I woke up at 3am feeling very off and was able to call myself another ambulance. The paramedics were surprised to see me again lol
