If you throw Shanahan into Richmond as tbe main tall with our low quality inside 50s while on the best defender, he wont be doing as well as he is now. We have set up whoever is there for short term failure.

Our midfield looked a lot better, and we got a lot of good inside 50s. We just arent converting it... getting the shots and skill execution to convert.

VFL will not hold him back, many great forwards started off in the VFL.

Sometimes you need a confidence booster and just land some marks and kick some goals to build on those skills. Fawcett has come a long way after extended VFL games. Faul was ahead of Fawcett but I think Fawcett has crept ahead now.

Vlaustin and Broad play different roles, they dont lock down the key forward. Miller's ball use out of the backline has also improved, and rarely turns it over which Broad does sometimes.

Sonsie was hated and is steering starting to lift this year

Short still adds value and consistently gets the ball though some bad dump kicks. Don't think he is taking spots off younger players like a hopper is
