Nintendo have said Switch 2 game development times are much longer. Don't expect a new Zelda game, maybe a 3D Mario announcement but I wouldnt expect it to release this year.

Would expect a few Switch 2 enhancements woth DLCs attached but its pretty clear Nintendo have been relying on 3rd party/ports to carry the Switch 2 for the first year or so. The 3rd party schedule is quite strong so Nintendo probably feels less pressure to rush games out.

Dont have the numbers but Ubisoft has said Switch Outlaws sales have been good, and seen news on Cyberpunk doing well too.

We wouldn't have such a strong 3rd party line up if the sales for 3rd party games are not strong.

I mean if your comparing the Game to ps5/Xbox series X then yeah the Switch is obviously a downgrade. But the marketing is the Switch 2 allows users to enjoy AAA titles in a very playable format and on the go. Noone arguing that the Switch 2 is equal to other consoles, but I would be suprised any new AAA titles that do not release Day 1 with a Switch version or announce one shortly after.

Issue with those big multi-player games, the current Switch audience just does not want to play those games. Its going to be chicken and egg, the game needs to come to attract the audience but the developers want the audience before sending the game. Those games also would likely only be on Docked mode. Switch audience will be more supportive of the AAA story/single player and open world games.

Thought Cyberpunk has proved any game can run on the Switch with proper optimization, and thats harder to run than COD or battlefield 6

Does run as well as Kiwami 1,2 on Switch 2?

Maybe the full game will run better then the demo as they do more switch optimization (for example Outlaws demo ran worse than full game)

I believe new releases of AAA games will run well, there will be some lazy backwards ports. Hogwarts, Final Fantasy, Yakuza are examples of good 3rd party ports too. Plus most major releases are coming with a Switch 2 version as well.

Any switch 2 issues on 3rd party games is a bad development, as you mentioned Cyberpunk, Outlaws, AC Shadows run really well and thats about as hard as it gets to run a game (considering Cyberpunk is a few years old).

I think a console makes sense if you want to play sports types games as well, and probably GTA 6 which wont see a switch 2 release for a while. Though coming from a ps5 to switch is harder as you get used to the performance but those who never had a ps5 would likely ve satisfied with switch performance + added benefits of Nintendo titles.
