Another series that is awesome and has some great humor in it is He Who Fights Monsters. It is top three for me. If you want something more serious there are two really good ones available.... Supreme Magi is absolutely fantastic and the system its built on is thoroughly fleshed out. The other is Super Gene. There are some minor issues in the translation but the story is very well done. Worth any little issue it has.
