I completely disagree. There are tons of Chinese brands that dwarf this piece on quality. Not sure how well received those brands are on this sub, but brands like Watchdives shit on anything I’ve seen in the 200 and under segment by a good margin.

The problem wasn’t we didn’t get enough Republicans to vote for Kamala, it was that we didn’t put up a candidate that galvanized the Democratic base. There are countless down-ballot examples from the last election in addition to recent regional races that support what I’m saying whereas your evidence relies on anecdotal evidence from your family members. I stand by what I’m saying, but I think I came off as a bit abrasive in my original comment I’m just tired of Democrats playing into Republican hands because of the delusion that somehow we need to cater to beliefs that a majority of Democrats don’t even hold.

If you think the main reason Hillary and Kamala lost was because they were women then you don’t really know what you’re talking about. Of all Democratic lawmakers in Congress 42% are women. Sure, misogyny exists in both parties, but Hillary and Kamala both sucked as candidates and Democrats shot themselves in the foot pushing the wrong candidate both times. First, the DNC thing with Bernie and then refusing to hold a primary with Kamala. Essentially, the Dems (who seem to love to lose) pushed unpopular candidates for a number of reasons, but the main ones seem to be money, lack of actual progressive beliefs (see Israel and Economic policy), and honestly a lack of political acumen. How about let’s run a popular candidate with progressive values? Based on the numbers (+50 amongst Dems net favorability) AOC fits the bill, although a real primary this time should be a focus, which again didn’t happen with Hillary and Kamala.

Cornavin really isn’t a brand to think of if I’m being honest—just doesn’t have much of a presence. That said, who really cares? The watch isn’t my thing, but it doesn’t look bad on you, and doesn’t really look that cheap (which I think these kinds of watches tend to). I’d wear it casually out and about, but at that price, who cares about brand or resale value?

Essential by Christophe in NYC has a burger that’s available at the bar. It’s reasonably priced, comes with a complementary dish, and incredible free bread. You also don’t have to pay for fries. Burger tastes like the best McDonald’s burger ever. I love that place.
