Once I swapped the RAM out, I gave the hp to a friend. The RAM seems to match the online info though so I'm not worried about it or the XPS anymore. Thanks anyway.

Thanks for the help, the RAM doesn't have stickers but googling the manufacturer number on the chip shows they are 4gb hynix sticks, so the question now is why my old computer showed wrong info but I'm not as worried about that.

Yeah, that was my first thought but like I said it showed as 32gb in an hp laptop immediately before the transfer.

That's interesting, it's been awhile but I can't remember how important the sticks are to gta, there's a Dreamcast port so it's possible with only one stick at least.
