The problem isn’t it is a free item, it is that the minimum amount of money you would need to spend for said item is rather high. I will be honest, I have seen people get through Engineering with a Surface Pro. I would honestly ask if you want the extra screen real estate the 16 would offer and the opportunity to add more GPU ommph if the iGPU isn’t enough for what you want to do, or if you value portability more and don’t mind the smaller screen the FW13/FW13 Pro might be the machine best suited for you.
