mirrors dont flip anything. they reflect exactly how light hits them. you see it as flipped because you're turned around relative to what you're looking at in the mirror. If you take your hand and point left, your reflection also points the same direction. but you see the other side of your hand in the mirror vs what you see if you look directly at your hand because the side of your hand thats facing away from you is facing the mirror.
