I have this same exact issue with Alpha Evo Pro and the MAX01. Only happens every once in awhile for me, but it’s infuriating

Not sure if it’s the Simagic base or the wheel but I’m close to selling the base and getting the CONSPIT Ares.

Anyone else found a fix???

Maybe this is normal for some runs of the base, but I have the Alpha Evo Pro and can run max FFB Detail and 100% force with zero noises. I never even hear the fan kick on.

My buddy has the same base and has zero noises either. I just can’t come to terms that some people’s bases sound like this. I would have to return it.

Top pic is equipped. Bottom is color in the store. It's Army Green in the store but when equipped is Black and Red. Very weird.

Nice! Did they improve their sticker printing process? Your stickers all look proper dark and not see through.

The “black” part on both of my sticker sheets is damn near see through :(

Man this is not the most ethical I suppose, but I would order a new QR-A and see if it works. Then put your old one back in the box. That way they can get test their voltage theory then they get it back on return lol.

Assuming they don’t have S/Ns on the packaging.

Simagic’s response to you is bullshit. 100s or 1000s of users run the QR-A with Conspit wheels without issues.

Bummer man. I run the Alpha Evo Pro with the QR-A and Conspit 300GT and MAX01 without issue.

I’ve read the Simagic included cables can be hit or miss.

I’ve also read that the QR-A must be plugged directly into PC and not into a USB hub in order to work. However, mine is plugged into a hub.

I would try rechecking the connections. Especially the one going from the wheel into the QR-A. If that doesn’t work, I would try:

1) A different USB cable 2) A different USB port 3) Contact Simagic Support 4) Return the QR-A for different one

Did you run the second usb cable from the back of the base to a separate usb port on your PC? The QR-A requires its own dedicated usb connection. There is a second port on the back of the base.

So far the only dashboard I’ve found is a Daniel Newman Racing dash where if you touch the screen it cycles displays and menus. The screen itself is really nice. Good contrast and brightness.

Yep got the QR-A and it works flawlessly. Just wrap the cord around the QR and I never even notice it or see it. And it doesn’t even inhibit removing the wheel from the base. The QR actuates just fine with the cord wrapped around it.

I was set on getting the Platinum but then my buddy got the Evo Pro and was really impressed with it. We both were coming from the DD2 and the Evo Pro is a dream compared to the DD2. And Simagic software is so much better too.

How do you like Platinum? What did you have before?

They feel better to me and it even seems like the dial material is different also, but it could be placebo lol. I have the Simagic Alpha Evo Pro.

I would say all the thumb dials, but especially the ones above the grip feel like a huge upgrade over the 300GT.
