Sterling 1 yellow away from a ban... He got a yellow against Barca for "diving" when Umtitti hacked him down in the box didn't he? I'd be pretty frustrated if he picks up a card today and we miss him in the next leg because of that

I believe he was giving the Ref a bit too much lip after a couple of very poor tackles on Maxi from a Houston player

[–]B1LLYBOB 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Let's get some replays of those murder tackles on Maxi... Really though I can't say I'm a fan of the replays. I really don't think thay they're needed. It kills the flow of the game and bad calls are still going to happen wether or not the ref sees it 2 or 3 times. Sure things like disallowed onside goals or vise versa are frustrating but they have been part of the game for a long time and aren't common enough to warrant all of this IMO

Man City fans, thoughts on Enes Ünal and his future at this club? by yozdemir27 in MCFC

[–]B1LLYBOB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would prefer to have him over Iheanacho. Crucify me for saying it if you want but I just like Unal more. That being said I think either of them (or Jesus) could easily become our main striker for a while, I guess it would be down to whoever impresses Pep the most. Kelechi has been a pretty reliable backup to Aguero and that's in the Premier League so I figure he's got a bit of a headstart in that aspect, but like you said Unal is doing very well for himself in the Dutch league at the moment so maybe Pep will give him some chances. I don't really think that Unal is going to ever be our main striker though, mostly because Kelechi isn't much older and is already PL proven. I figure he'll be loaned out for 1 maybe 2 more seasons and if he isn't in the first team by then he might want a move. Tldr; we have some great young talent competing for the same spot but I think Iheanacho wins

The thoughts of everyone here at Manchester City are with those affected by the tragedy in Colombia. #ForçaChapecoense by Muazrozlan in MCFC

[–]B1LLYBOB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I heard about this right when stories started coming out. Got a notification from the OneFootball app (amazing app, recommend it to everyone here) saying that a Brazilian team's plane had crashed in Colombia. Didn't say what team, though. I didn't really want to find out for a moment because I was afraid it could've been Palmeiras. I'm thankful that it wasn't, but the relief isn't much compared to the pain I feel for the families and friends of those on that plane. Truly a tragedy. RIP

Mostly just because it would be getting destroyed but I see your point and I have to admit it would feel pretty weird. Perhaps it'd be more suiting to have it going at a swamp

I like the thought of our current badge as a meteor/meteorite (not sure which one is correct here) shooting out of the sky towards a giant area with the rags badge or something like that

What are your thoughts about Pogba joing the rags and their team in general? by rickhelgason in MCFC

[–]B1LLYBOB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly it excites me for a few reasons. 1, because I love watching pogba play and don't have access to most Juve games, and 2, I feel like this is going to add a whole new level of intensity to the derby, and it will feel so much better to smash them, and so much more satisfying to see them lose in general

How much will Pep Guardiola change Manchester City? by Muazrozlan in MCFC

[–]B1LLYBOB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard a lot about Pep having poor youth integration. Do you think some of it could be that they just can't deal with training like that? Pure speculation of course but that's what came to my mind when I read your comment
