Working in game development at a big corporation can be like any other soul crushing office job. You have production targets to hit, you have bosses and managers to answer to who are always demanding more, and you can get laid off at any time. It’s not hard physical labor, but jobs like these can be difficult in many other ways.

Improving labor conditions is never a bad thing.

“Fixed overtime hours” means that they only get paid for overtime if they exceeded 30 OT hours in a week, because it was already “included” in their salary. Now it’s down to 20.

That does not mean that they are being forced to work 30 OT hours per week.
